Second time of coming here now. Carvery is nice with good amount of meat and selection of vegetables. Steak has been a bit tough. Hence 4 stars. Would still recommend though. 20% off with blue light card and 15% with AA. Friendly staff. Nice cosy pub. Dog friendly. Free parking, you just have to register your number plate.
Really friendly bar staff when ordering food and drinks.
Food came out pretty fast and they came back to check if everything was okay.
Plenty of free parking but as its near the hospital you need to register your car on arrival also easy to do.
Overall experience pretty good and I would go back again so thanks!
First visit with my partner. The man behind the bar (Manager?) Was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food arrived quickly and was nice but not outstanding. My partner had the chicken platter but although he was pleased with it it wasn't as plentiful as the picture on the menu.
It wasn't a wow experience but neither a bad one.
If u looking for basic "pub grub" you love it.
Nice hot food & very respectful staff. Really enjoyed this Sunday treat & plenty of choice on the carvery even for the non meat eaters like me. Will be going back for seconds...
I normally have the carvery but tried the Chicken and Bacon Salad today for a change. It was full of flavours and very filling. I would recommend it and have it again. My friend had the carvery and it was very nice as always. Excellent value for money. Thank you

Sunday Carvery with the family...
The restaurant was quite busy, staff were friendly and helpful however we were not told to order at the bar after being shown our table so I had to ask...
Input your car registration for free car parking behind the building.
Order at the bar however the server did take our dessert order.
Carvery is back to self service was well supplied with three meats and plenty of fresh vegetables, potatoes and gravy.
Children's menu was great value and offered plenty of choice.
Bar area had a dartboard, pool table and sports TV.
First time visit to this restaurant after family recommendations, found the place a lot larger than imagined. The greeting and covid controls were excellent with table service and escorts to your table. We opted for the carvery and desserts which were reasonably priced and of a great standard. The carvery is plated up for you in detail to your specific requirements which I found good. The staff were very friendly and attentive, free car parking on site.

We came in last Sunday. After a day at torre Abbey. We'd not been there for a few months and I must say the service was amazing. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with huge smiles. And the smell of the food was amazing. From Natalie at the bar. Serving us our drinks. Sorry, Natalie...
I'm gluten-free and Natalie was great advising...asking Carly. Also, Carly was very knowledgeable and said she had advised the chef of my intolerance.
From start to finish. It was a lovely time. After a few minutes, Carly came over and made sure that all my requirements were met. This was great. As before In other restaurants have been made to feel like I was a nuisance. I think Carly could see this and made me feel at ease. We stayed for dessert and coffee because for once I felt at ease. Thanks Carly for a kind ear xxx we definitely will be coming back.
We went there for our daughters 23rd Birthday as a party of 9. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was warm. The interior of the pub has plenty of character too. Our food came out promptly and was delicious and plentiful. Again the serving staff were friendly and really helpful. We had a wonderful evening and our daughter loved the meal. Thanks very much!
Went yesterday afternoon. Parking was easy and was greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. Ordered the food and drinks. Wass very pleased with the pints of cider and thought it was reasonably priced. I had the mixed grill which was lovely, only complaint was the rump was slightly overcooked. The other two meals we couldn't fault. Thoroughly enjoyed it, I can't think of anywhere local that can beat this place for value for money
Came here for breakfast yesterday and then lunch today! To be honest we can’t fault it! Staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you! Although we hadn’t booked the manager managed to find us a table even though it was so busy! 🥰 food is fresh and so tasty we had the carvery, highly recommended. Deb and jeff
I visited today lunchtime(Vincent booking). I just felt I had to say a very big thank you to your carvery server, not only was he very polite but so very helpful. I ordered a small meal for myself and a ta meal. He did everything for me and delivered all to my table. As I'm disabled this made me feel good, I think he needs a big handshake from the manager. Lovely food, lovely people, we be back. Thanks again. 😊
Our first visit was pleasantly surprised. food was great, very taste the pie was just mouth in your melt. value for money. Great service staff were friendly and welcoming. Will go again
Enjoyed a well cooked mixed grill. The staff were polite and attentive.
Great place to have a carvery, really good value for money and carvery served until late. Plenty of other options on the menu too plus a reasonable children's menu. Worth booking though if going on the weekend.
Great food for the money, had a carvery and the meats were great, not dry in the slightest and everything else was full of flavour.
Toby carvery is dog food in comparison.
Staff were friendly and polite, and the service was great.
I absolutely love this place! Nice environment, great service and delicious food even though I had a cheeseless fondue 😂😂😂 it was fixed immediately after pointing it out. I recommend it and I am coming back soon
