Fabulous food & great setting. Excellent service & lovely decor. Pity it's so tedious to get to, lots of narrow lanes, constant stopping, often having to reverse when busy. Parking meter only takes cash (no phone signal means it can't take cards) you do get a partial refund from restaurant if you show your parking ticket when you pay your bill, as long as you'd paid at least £3.60. We had to park then go to pub for change for the machine but the staff as obviously used to that!

I read some of the not great reviews about the food. But honestly my mussels were really good, made in a creamy sauce with wine and the fish and chips much better than the pub traditional. A great old building, with a gorgeous garden that I will like to have at least one similar in London. As well the decoration inside at the restaurant was modern and comfortable. It’s a long way to anywhere but the road to get there is lovely and you pass some small british traditional villages. As well you can have a nice 5 min walk to the beach.

Great Gastropub. I had the fish and chips and it was fabulous. I don't know how they get the batter so crunchy but I've never had it as good as this anywhere back home (Australia). Local cider was great also. Really nice garden setting with great views. Highly recommended.

First visit today for lunch. What a find!!! Decor impeccable, garden quaint and tidy. Service brilliant and friendly. The icing on the cake is the fact they are dog friendly. We ordered fish and chips. It was a generous portion of gorgeous light battered cod, chips and yummy mushy peas. We will definitely be returning. A perfect destination for us. Thank you Team Thatcher Tavern .

After a morning spent Coasteering with Ziggy from Rock Solid Coasteering, we popped in for some lunch. The Thatched Tavern is a hidden gem with an amazing outside space. The sun was shining and the food was excellent. The choices are superb, including a whole bunch of locally sourced ingredients. Staff were friendly and helpful. This is well worth a diversion and sits in an amazing valley along the coastal path.

A really lovely place to go to. Not far from a small secluded beach. Food just keeps getting better. The mussels are absolutely lovely and fresh. Very popular with tourists and locals alike.

A lovely thatched pub selling a range of alcoholic drinks and food. A well laid out garden with plenty of seating. Be aware during summer months or holiday periods this pub is extremely busy and parking can be difficult. There is a one-way system to and from the pub village. There are walks to a nearby beach.

Popped in for a Sunday afternoon drink, service was pretty good. Sat in the garden. Pleasant area with smoking and non smoking areas. Plenty of benches and tables Would I return, yes I would, parking is difficult down small lanes or car park pretty full. Pay and display.

This is a brilliantly run and beautiful place to eat. We had liquorice smoked mackeral with beetroot, I had the hake and my partner had a steak. All the food was beautifully cooked and presented, and the service was excellent too. All the staff were pollite and really helpful. Really well done team!
