We found this little gem in Torquay accidentally, once we went in we were welcomed and despite the place being full the staff ensured to accommodate us. We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and coffees. We will definitely be visiting again soon. Overall a very good experience and top food. Thank you to all the team.

We eat here as a group from TIS on a weekly basis. The food is always excellent, as is the prompt service. It remains one of our students' favourite places according to their feedback. They love to buy cakes and cheese to take away too! Such a great selection of high - quality products.

Lovely place to get something to eat and a drink of coffee or alcohol. Staff so warm and welcoming. My son recently started working there and loves it. Chloe and Zoe are really happy with him.

Lovely deli and friendly staff. Nice selection of salads, baguettes and cakes. We were able to book a table which was nice. Also have specials like pizza nights. Worth the trip to Torquay.

Beautiful cafe. Lovely staff. Good music. Clean and bright. I had a lovely time here. Lovely cake lively coffee and chai latte. A must go in Torquay. Better than any chain coffee shop! They have a deli with a lovely selection. And lots of jars of lovely treats to buy as gifts or for yourself! There is parking outside the building. For 2 hours. In my opinion, isn't long enough to fully enjoy this cafe! They also do evenings. You will need to book in advance. Support local business. Give your money to people who cear!

Deli and brunch place which specials on homemade, local, high quality ingredients. Cakes, pasties, freshly filled baguettes, bakery with the best local sourdough, selection of grains/pulses/crisps/chutneys/jams and biscuits. Lovely brunch menu with everything we like from classic English breakfast to Avo toasts, pancakes and croissants served with butter and local jams. Do ask for the specials menu and if you see porridge there don’t hesitate - it’s a treat!

The problem with this place... I can't walk past it or go in without suffering an earbug from the 1972 hit of the same name by Billy Paul. Leaving that aside, what a lovely establishment! Outstanding breakfast, lovely staff, deli counter, fantastic light lunches, and a rather nice French rosé to enjoy in the sunshine on the terrace. Superb ❤️

Since moving here four weeks ago, we've been back three times and each time the food and service has been excellent - great food options and very good coffee, it's also dog friendly which is always a winner - nice outside/terrace seating too.

Situated in an upmarket area of Torquay this place does really well with people of all ages but, in particular, ladies in pairs having tasty homemade pies and fresh salads and catching up on the gossip over a small wine. It also serves as a popular delicatessen for the locals who pop in to take advantage of the delicious food, cheese and olives on offer as well as chutneys and jams. We had spicy pumpkin soup and although it was palatable it wasn't spicy and was a bit bland.. So hats off........and well done to the owner who had learnt of our minor dissatisfaction .... and on paying the bill gave us voucher for 2 free soups and bread at a later date! Nice gesture. It has a nice relaxed feel to it and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the tables are pretty close to each other so it's intimate at times. Nevertheless, it is a nice place and provides a perfect location for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea with lots of homemade cakes! Wellswood is a mile or so from the Strand at Torquay and there is regular buses passing by. There is parking alongside all the Wellswood shops which allow free parking for an hour or so.....but well used!! You must go.

Beautiful food and a wonderful friendly service. Slightly on the more expensive side but absolutely worth every penny for the odd lunch time treat.
