I cannot believe how much fish and chips costs these days, but if you're going to fork out you may as well get the best. Me and my wife shared a large haddock and large chips, which was around £17. A regular chips would have been fine. Ate on a bench up the road. Beautiful. Would go back. Be warned

Hanbury's is a Torquay institution, and never disappoints. Traditional Cod and Chips, perfectly prepared and presented, with delightful mushy-peas on the side. Taken away to be eaten in the best possible location on Babbacombe Downs overlooking the wild waves.

The best fish n chips I've ever had! You must go to Hanbury's if you like fish n chips. I am very fussy with fish n chips but my Haddock and chips takeaway was excellent! This is a honest opinion.

Very friendly staff. Food cooked to order do very fresh. Not the cheapest but value for money. Would recommend.
First visit. Good range of food. Cornish hake available and some locally caught fish but unclear where the cod and haddock is sourced from. Nice to order chips separately as there are usually too many. A large portion between three of us is usually ample. Friendly service. The ordering area is small
