Oh my!! The burgers are out of this world!!
I live in Somerset but would definitely return for another!! I cannot recommend The Shack enough - friendly staff and great food!
Had lunch yesterday with my partner and 2 young kids. All agreed it was the best roast we have had in the bay. Couldn’t fault it! food was fresh, perfectly cooked and tasty. The staff are so welcoming and accommodate for children so well. We will be back!
Absolutely fantastic meal, steak cooked to perfection and burgers to die for. Highly recommend you guys, can't wait to try your Sunday roast.

This is a cool place , with amazing burgers . The staff are cool and not in your face . If you are a burger snob you will love this place . Going back to check out the rest of the menu ..
We had one of the best carverys ever today. Lovely staff and the owner come and gave us some crackling to take home with us.
One lovely waitress gave us her daughters teddy for our baby to play with as well.
Will definitely be returning.
Had our 1st meal here on Saturday and it won't be our last. Definitely the best meals we have had in Torquay will be back in August �����

Just had a carvery and it was the best I've ever had! Little bit of a wait, but worth it because of how fresh it was. Will be back every Sunday I can be! ��
The most amazing burger ever! Plus they were fab with the kids and made sure they were entertained while waiting for food.
Kids meals were so good value especially as they got a drink and ice cream with their meal! That chilli coleslaw was something else �
We went to the shack for fathers day. As it's Sunday it's a carvery. It's the best carvery I've had in years and will go back again and again. The food is outstanding. The service from the waiting staff is great and how baby friendly they are is great.
Love this place! Good atmosphere and amazing food, best burger I've ever had! The staff were lovely and the prices are reasonable. Cannot fault it and looking forward to going back 😁

10 of us, including one vegetarian, booked for a carvery on Easter Sunday. The reviews don't lie! Great selection of meats, amazing selection of vegetables and really friendly and accommodating staff. Would recommend 100%. We will be going back to try the burgers later this week!

I’ve been to The Shack a few times and it has been one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever tried. The Shack is well priced especially in the weekdays between 5pm-6pm as they currently have a deal on for a burger, fries and a drink for £10. The staff are incredibly friendly and there is nothing to hate about this place !
Outstanding, staff friendly on arrival not a long wait for food either great choices of burgers chicken salad and drinks, burger was succulent and i highly recommend, also the chicken was tender full of flavour and one of the best salads iv tasted, I really wish this was nearer home I'd come again any time
Excellent burgers - great meat cooked to perfection with very nice toppings. The matador was very nice, with a balance of sweet and smoky from the peppers with the salty and meaty chorizo, reminiscent of Spanish flavours. However, I would not recommend swapping the fries for a salad...

Best burgers in Torquay! The staff is super nice and friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing. It’s a must if you’re around the harbour! I specially recommend the burger called “The Italian Job”, it’s original and delicious (with mozzarella, salami and pesto sauce!!).
Went there with the wife on the first evening of our holiday and I can honestly say these are the best burgers we have ever tasted. I had the Old English and my wife had the Billy Gruff burger they were both cooked to perfection and served with chunky chips, great value for money and well worth a visit if you're in the area. They also do a deal each evening between 5 and 6 pm of a burger and a drink for £10 pp . Go on fill your boots it's awesome!

Lots of clients last night so busy and full of life, something that's been missing everywhere over the past few years. My food was very good, very enjoyable as always although the Belgian Waffle was a step too far in my case - ice cream would have been a better option after a big meal. Staff are always pleasant and attentive and prices remain competitive. A little noisy overall so difficult to hear conversation on my table but we can forgive that as people were having a good time. Recommended.
First visit today wasn't expecting it to be as nice an experience as it was, the food was lovely and the table staff were very polite and helpful
