Absolutely fantastic atmosphere at this little cafe. They tweaked my order to suit my dietary needs, they are very dog friendly and the food was delicious. Friendly helpful staff in a gorgeous setting. A must if you're visiting Mount Edgecombe. 😊

After a spectacular, and chilly, walk to Cawsand and back via Mount Edgcumbe Country Park we popped into The Farriers for some refreshments. The young staff team were a delight. Very welcoming. The Farriers menu is tradional with some innovative bakes (if you are not worried about calories 😎) Our lunch (soup of the day and cheesy chips) was served quickly, delicious and piping hot. Prices were reasonable. Definately worth a look if you are planning a visit to Mount Edgcumbe. For families there is also a childrens space, cosy corner. Plus some larger tables which can accomodate groups. We sat inside as it was cold. There is plenty of outside seating. They are dog friendly too! It can get busy so l recommend you book a table if you are planning to eat inside.

Delightful! Great, relaxed atmosphere even though it was a busy Summer Sunday. Excellent and reasonably priced menu and the food itself was beautifully prepared and presented and really tasty. I especially appreciated the tea which was real leaves in a glass infuser. Lots of lovely dogs, all well catered for as well.

Such brilliant food, the best chips ever. Delicious panini and burger. Excellent coffee. Really friendly and happy staff. Went for our granddads 90th treat and they even brought out a piece of cake with candles. Really impressive, highly recommend. Thank you guys.

Post-parkrun takeaway. Sizeable discount on hot beverages to promote the use of reusable cups and a most splendid bacon sandwich. All set in a beautiful location. Delicious way beyond the modest price. Thanks

Beautiful setting in a courtyard. Great coffee and a well earned bacon and egg bap after a long walk through the grounds. Highly recommended.

Great place for a bite to eat. Some of the best chips I've had. Try the burger or crab sandwich.

The best hot chocolate I have ever had. Lunch was delicious, the service was lovely. Perfect place for a long walk, on a rainy day and then dive in for some lunch.

This place was unexpected! It was busy which was fine, it is half-term after all, but we were not expecting the quality of food when we ordered. The food was excellent. Hot, well presented and also tasted lovely. The chips are a must! We opted for cheesy chips and were not disappointed. The position was huge. We could have shared. After we had finished our food we said what a lovely start to our afternoon exploring the grounds. Well done 👏 and keep up the great work you’re doing.

Have been coming to Mount Edgecumbe for many many years with my family. Yesterday, we stopped by to have a meal at the recently opened Farriers (formally The Stables I think), and what a treat. Staff were friendly and warm, navigating the Covid regulations smoothly. Felt safe but unworried about going in, and there is outdoor seating in a little courtyard if you prefer. We stopped for lunch and the menu offered a nice little selection of meals and snacks to cater for our mix of vegetarians and meat eaters, with lots of nice drinks options too. Try the ginger beer! Service was good and whilst we waited, we admired the new revamped interior. It’s got a nice warm feeling and being in an old stables, there are lots of curious and interesting things to look at. Food arrived promptly and looked tasty. Good portions, but also everyone said there food was really delicious. I had three bean nachos, and was very satisfied. Spoke to one of the new owners as we were leaving and you can just tell they really want to provide a good service and have worked hard through opening in March to make it work. Shall be getting back there to try coffee and cake as soon as I can. Highly recommended.

Visited today after a lovely walk in the grounds of Mount Edgcumbe. Chips were amazing! As was the Ciabatta. Delicious ice cream afterwards. Will hopefully get chance to come back this week for cream tea!

We’re there almost every weekend because the food is just so good, I have the halloumi pesto flatbread and a chai latte and it’s to die for! The cake selection is also brilliant!

A lovely at atmosphere for a lunchtime break. Not a massive choice, but what excellent food and service. If you have never been there, go. Well worth it.
