Lovely little traditional pub serving good food. There's quite a varied menu to choose from as well as a 'specials board'. The pub has a well stocked bar with a variety of beers, including some hand pulled guest beers too. It's only a small place, so it does get quite busy at peak times.
The mixed grill is AMAZING!!! It is the best mixed grill I have had in a very long time. We went with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed their meal. Love this place and it never disappoints. Mixed grill looked good but my son only let me try the black pudding. The chicken and King prawns in garlic was just as I remember it. Chicken not dry, kudos to the chef. Met a lovely local chap who is due to receive a Doberman puppy so good luck as I'd two.
Food was served hot and very good. Servers were prompt and pleasure. Not an issue but the pub is very old in style, with the exception of the bathroom which was modern.

Good food and good prices. Had steak, chips with egg mushrooms and a little side salad. Very good portions, came on a big plate!! Also had strawberry 🍓 pavlova for dessert which was really nice. Well worth a visit!!

The pub itself needs a face-lift, BUT the food cannot be faulted a mixed grill was ordered along with roast beef dinner. When it came it was amazing, the mixed grill was not only massive but beautifully cooked and red hot, the roast beef dinner was according to my better half "the best meal I've had
