I found this restaurant after a search for somewhere nice after a good walk in the surrounding area and we weren't disappointed. We had 8 courses with the wine flight which suited it perfectly. The staff were brilliant and gave just enough attention without it being too much. Each course was explained and the wine was described as to why you were drinking this particular one. Very good restaurant and had an atmosphere even for a Wednesday evening

Ventured out to Todmorden to try the 8 Course Tasting Menu at the White Rabbit. It was a surprise when we walked in the restaurant- it is a very casual environment and not what you would expect for a restaurant that is offering 5 and 8 Course taster menus. However, don't let the surroundings put you off eating here as the food speaks for itself. The stars of the menu for us were "The Charcoal Cheddar with Onion and Puffed Potatoe" "Bhaji Battered Cauliflower with Lime Pickle and Vadouvan Mayo" Seabass dish, Lemon Meringue Cheesecake and the Chocolate Torte. There are wine flights available or just a glass but with the Restaurant being in the middle of a quiet village a car was definitely required for us so our tastings were limited. The wines are quality and do compliment the food. Sebastian who was front of house was a very welcoming and knowledgeable host . Our table was adjacent to the bar - Sebastian took a keen interest in our feedback for every course. Would definitely go again for a special occasion however the distance for us would prevent our regular attendance

Fabulous. We had the September 8 course menu with the wine flight and everything was perfect. Our favourite courses were the charcoal cheddar with onion and puffed potato, pea soup, cauliflower bhaji and chicken with truffle pomme puree. Other half would have preferred a bit more grouse in the pie but that's just personal preference. The menu changes each month and I'm sure the next one will be just as good. Service was impeccable - thanks to Seb and all the other staff (sorry as I don't know names). The flight of 7 wines was more than enough - they'd gone to my head by the end. There is one with the last course but it's in addition to the rest. There's also another wine recommended prior to the meal which isn't included in the flight - normally not a sample fan of rose wine but the one I had was lovely. All in all a fabulous night in a superb restaurant. My other half even saved a bit of meringue on his trousers for later which he ate after we walked out 🤣!

8 course taster menu. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. Service friendly and helpful. Small restaurant that packs a punch with the food and the matched wine flight a great selection for each course. If we could give 6 out of 5, we would.

We came here on a Saturday night and enjoyed the 8 course meal with the wine flight. The food was superb. The attention to detail was amazing and the flavours were very rich and diverse. The serving sizes were also ideal. Each wine perfectly complemented the dishes, and we even opted for the additional chocolate wine, which was delicious. Alongside the quality of the food the service was outstanding. Each course and wine was explained to us by the servers who were very attentive. I asked for one of the courses to be served a little differently due to personal preference and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Due to the intimate nature of the venue the service felt very personal, with the chef themselves coming out to speak to us. All in all I can't say enough positives and we will certainly be returning.

A very small fine food restaurant. Intimate and cozy. We had the 8 course tasting menu with our own choice of wines as we are not keen on dessert wine. Everything spot on. Delicious flavours, great skills in the kitchen. It was a cold night but very warm and comfortable inside. I thoroughly recommend you treat yourself for that special meal.

We so enjoyed all 8 courses on the August menu, delicious flavours and fabulous combinations of foods. The restaurant is welcoming, relaxed and I cannot praise the service highly enough. This was my first visit, it won't be my last.

Excellent food. Genuine fine dining in the centre of Todmorden. Wonderful for special events and celebrations. Love that they use locally sourced produce.
