It is a lovely little cafe with a good selection of food. I had the soup of the day, which was delicious! There's lots of seating and it's very clean and well maintained. There was some delicious looking cakes too chose from!

I visited this cafe on Saturday last week and the food was excellent. The only gripe I have was that the coffee tasted horrible. I asked one of the staff for a replacement cup of coffee and I was told that just because I didn't like the coffee she wouldn't replace it. I had to buy another cup of coffee . In my experience most cafes offer to replace a drink if it is to strong or you don't like the flavor. I was told by the manageress that this was the finest Italian coffee. Well I disagree it was from a machine. The coffee I bought to replace it was a cappuccino and this was very good. I however do not think you should have to buy another drink if you don't like the flavor of the drink you bought. I have been to cafes before and have had a drink replaced if I didn't like it. Also I had to wait for the manageress to undertake my request as the young lad I approached couldn't accommodate my request as he had to ask his boss. The food was very good and served quickly. But please rethink your attitude when it comes to replacing drinks.

Only had a drink. Stopped on the way home as it is ideal for a cuppa. Always good service. Simple cafe facilities. Benefits are the amazing surroundings of the GWSR and the comings and goings of the trains. Great place.

Whilst enjoying a day out on the Heritage Rail line, before or after the journey, a full hot meal or snack can be enjoyed at the Flag and Whistle Cafe. The cooked breakfast certainly satisfies!

Only popped in for a take away tea and coffee but it was a quick service and seemed to have some good cakes on offer, although we did go around 3pm ish so wasn't all that much on offer but based on a sign they seem to make a lot of things to order.

Fabulous full English breakfast on Thursday 20th October. Given my dietary requirements as mentioned elsewhere this was not expected. Lynne and the team are superb, polite and efficient in every way. Keep up the good work.

We were recently down in the Cotwolds for our honeymoon and had been given a voucher for afternoon tea at the Flag & Whistle. We arrived a bit early but were seated immediately and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They had even warmed the scones for us! We had a lovely afternoon tea - all the food was freshly prepared - and would definitely return.
