Beautiful, tranquil and friendly island. Plenty to see and do even out of summer season. Western Isles Hotel in Tobermory a special place to stay - excellent staff, rooms and meals.
Very friendly people and great chocolate. Shop sells more than just chocolate
The indoor cafe is cheap and with nice food. The only downside is the little anount of tables available. All of the handmade chocolate and sweets sold are delicious and impressive in shame/form. A bit expensive, it it’s totally worth it. There are clear labels of allergens in desserts too. Only down
Forget Willy Wonka, This is the chocolate Factory to visit.

The mocha was really good as it had a great strong dark chocolate taste from the homemade chocolate used. Also the cafe had a good view of the harbour and a nice atmosphere.

Found Tobermory Chocolate with an online search, but live too far away for a visit so ordered a selection of milk and white chocolates which arrived quickly, and really well packed. We had some really good ice cream from here. Not many flavours, but the quality is right. About £3.60 for a double scoop.
There's a lot of seats if you want to sit in and eat it, with a good view of the harbour outside. The hand made chocolates looked good from what I could see.
Have visited the cafe part of the shop three times already and have only been on the island for three days! The coffee and tea are good whilst the Coffee & Walnut cake and Toffee and Pecan cakes are wonderful, light, tasty and moist. Makes a refreshing change from some of the dried up fare that is
Very nice coffees and cakes. Seating area a little crowded as it is a popular cafe. I do wish the staff looked more like they enjoyed their work tho......but I can't knock the quality of the goods in the cafe itself (sorry, haven't tried the chocolates...yet!)
The coffee shop has a decent selection of drinks and sweet cakes etc, slightly pricey but what you'd expect. There are chocolates for sale which I believe are made on site but not a lot of information on that and a bit of a gift shop. No complaints, but no wow factor either.
This is heaven and hell for me. I love chocolate and good pralines. And truth to be told, up to my opinion you get the best hot chocolate in the world just here. It is not cheap...
