Herbert's Fine English Tearooms - Tissington - Photo album

Stopped off here while cycling the Tissington Trail. Not the cheapest place for a drink and bite to eat on the trail, but certainly worth a visit. Coffee and bacon roll was very nice after a few miles cycling.
What a lovely tea room, set in the grounds of the Tissington Estate. Warm friendly atmosphere, staff we're very friendly, good choice of food and drinks. We had chocolate brownie and apple and an elderflower crumble, both with custard 😋, both were sublime. I highly recommend a visit.
Absolutely beautiful tea room in a quaint little village. I didn't get a photo of my food because I was so eager to eat it, but I had the cheese and tomato quiche with salad and coleslaw. The quiche was absolutely delicious and the salad was an excellent portion. Instead of a depressing wilted colle
Nice place with great food at a reasonable price. Clean and well serviced by the staff who where friendly and keen to help. Packed on bank Holidays and parking is difficult for those that can't walk far. Too many dogs inside that put me off my food, yapping and barking.
My Wife & I had a lovely Beef burger🍔 with stilton, bacon, tomato & lettuce inside with a relish. We had Sweet potato fries too on the side. Very delicious the drinks were a pot of tea☕. I would of given it 5 stars but the place was freezing cold.🥶 But the staff could not of been any nicer or more h
Lovely character tea room serving good food and ice cream. Whilst the menu is basic it is ideal for a nice snack in this beautiful location. Outside table an asset on a sunny day.
We had a light breakfast there. It was brought out to our table for us . Nicely cooked.
This is a lovely place in the village of Tissington. I have been there to fly a balloon. They have inside and outside seats and you can order here not only tea and cakes. I've had a jacket potato with beans and a salad. It was very good. They also have small tubs of ice cream and I went for devilish
Sunny afternoon stop on bike ride on the Tissington Trail. Ate outside with the dog. Not too busy, we were served in reasonable time. Friendly staff and we chatted to other customers. A covered area outside and inside seating available. A happy, handy little spot.
We had takeaway and enjoyed in the Sun on the Bank opposite. Tissington was very popular for the well dressing, and Herbert's was very busy, but the team were running the place excellently. They came out with our food and called our name, all worked great. The food was incredible, especially for the
Seriously quaint tea room, offering warm scones, steaming hot teas and coffees, homemade cakes (look out for their Biscoff bakes) and afternoon tea. A must visit when visiting Tissington, make sure you stock up here before wandering into the village to see ducks and fluffy ducklings frolic in the ne
Tissington village is worth a visit - for a pleasant walk, viewing the wells at well-dressing, or just to watch (& feed) the ducks at the pond. But Herbert’s Tearoom is a must, whether for lunch, just a coffee & scone, or ice creams all round as we did last week when visiting with family.
Friendly staff, food was lovely! Plenty of seating and bike racks for anyone doing the tissington trail, lovely views of the church and hall whilst having a cuppa.
Very good portions. Nice staff and a get area for a walk
Lovely bacon and egg sandwich sat out in picturesque surroundings
Wow! What a lovely cafe stop and coffee shop! Close to the Tissington Trail. Indoor & outdoor seating. Cycle stands everywhere. Worth making this part of a longer bicycle stop. Will definitely return!
We walked the Tissington Trail from the village of Hartington and enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon tea. We arrived at 3pm to a really busy tea room but the service was efficient, friendly and we got a table easily. My 9 year old didn't face the 9 miles walk back so my husband ran back for the
