Tintern Old Station - Tintern - Photo album

Lovely place to go on a gorgeous day!! Took my mum and nephews! It's got an old train, cafe, park for the kids and a flying fox for my mum lols!! You can walk down to the River Wye and there's beautiful views. Also lots to learn about the local history on a video and on boards. The wood carvings are
Lovely place to enjoy a riverside stroll, enjoy a cuppa and cake - either inside or outside - and generally relax. All with lovely reminders of the days when steam trains ruled! This includes railway carriages with a shop and an information centre. Many species of birds in evidence too.
Lovely little place to stop off, coffee cakes etc ,staff pleasant and helpful. Toilets on site nice little find. Was doing a 14km walk for RNLI charity in memory of my brother. So to come across this as you can see put a smile on my face, well deserved stop off. Definitely recommend 👌
Quaint, parking fee goes to upkeep. Old train is a museum, toilets, cafe, garden with picnic benches, miniature railway next to old signal box. Lovely place to chill for an hour, on the way to and from the Wye Valley.
Absolutely lovely. Such a fab place and super dog friendly (allowed inside the cafe and the museum in the train carriage)! So much choice of gluten free food and cakes. All the sandwiches can be made gluten free (as long as the fillings are) and they marked mine as an allergy as I have coeliac. Grea
Very picturesque spot for eating. We enjoyed an amazing crispy bacon and egg sandwich. Excellent coffee. Friendly staff. Playground for children. Railway Museum in an carriage.
Great place to take the kids, nice parks and they loved the miniature railway ride too, interesting historic info displayed in the repurposed carriages too. The kids craft area was a nice touch too. Can't end the review without mentioning the superb cafe, with delicious cakes and other treats
Lovely sheltered spot to enjoy a coffee. It is surrounded by lots of trees beginning to show their autumn colours. The cafe is pleasant and efficient with good coffee. Beans roasted by dragons in Wales apparently. They even had the little train operating today, the children seemed to enjoy it.
Love coming here lots for the kids to do then we do the walk. They have recently opened up the train again so you can go inside and have a look. The cafe is lovely 5*. Shame that the little train isn't run anymore I'd love to know why! My son begs to see it everytime.
Gorgeous setting. Spacious garden seating. Seating inside too. Shame about the car parking charges. Food was slow to arrive on our visit. Nice Freshly made breakfast sandwich and yummy iced coffee. Public Walk path in either direction. Dog friendly. Toilets at rear.
Absolutely fantastic place loads of seating outside some inside. Very friendly helpful staff. Very nice menu coffee around two pounds. Toilets are spotless also. Car Park two pounds card payment or cash. It is well worth a nice walk along the river or perhaps use the free zip wire and play equipme
A bit of a hidden gem, found it whilst looking at Google maps, somewhere to visit for coffee and cake after Tintern Abbey. Parking was £2 but its for the upkeep of the station. Original station and some tracks, some carriages and other signals and buildings, a park for the kids and a lovely walk clo
Lovely stop on our journey! What a great find! Staff are so friendly and happy! Lunch was lovely in the cafe, with amazing hot chocolate. And the train ride is a great extra for the kids!
Stopped here on my way along the River Wye. Didn't stop long due to parking fees and not knowing which machine worked. Beautiful place, very tranquil. Lots of picnic beaches, cafe and toilets that were clean ( even though hand dryer didn't work)
Beautiful landscapes and beautiful scenery well worth to visit
Fab coffee and cakes. Great location for a walk along the river.. Lovely picnic area for those who want just sit and chill
Stopped here for lunch. Lovely location with plenty to see. Sandwiches were tasty and the children's picnic bags were especially good value. Thoroughly enjoyable place to visit
Me and my 4 year old had a lovely few hours here. There’s a play area for the kids. There are plenty of tables if you wanted to take a picnic, if not there is a cafe onsite that Is good value for money. You can take a walk through a train carriage which provides you with some history about the stati
Lovely little spot - two large car parks (£3/4 h, cards accepted) - larger car park in on your right as you enter, not very obvious as there are no signposts. The area around the visitor centre is flat & accessible, albeit a little muddy after the rains - this is where you will find the 6 statues th
