Dropped in for a birthday lunch treat last Friday with a girlfriend and was most impressed. We're both hard to impress! Delicious food, beautifully presented and great service - best bar staff we have encountered. A thoroughly wonderful afternoon spent sitting in the sunny garden. The makeover looks fab and very stylish - the interior of The Wild Hare looked lovely and cosy and can't wait to return to try more of their exciting menu. Too many delicious sounding options to choose from!!
Stayed here last Sunday for a surprise anniversary gathering and couldn’t be more impressed. The refurbishment is first class, the food in the Wild Hare was fantastic and the bar has to have the largest selection of Williams Chase products I’ve ever seen!
Easily the best place I’ve stayed in or around Tintern, the garden is the perfect place to relax on a summer day, the redecorated rooms are really well done, and Richard and the team genuinely couldn’t do enough for us.
Well done guys, the place is looking great and we’ll be back for sure next time we’re in the area!
Had an amazing stay , Reception staff amazing with a great welcome . Our room was great. Perfectly clean with lovey furniture and quirky touches. Amazing beds !!!!! The gardens were lovely to just sit in and enjoy some gin in the sun. Breakfast was great. Cold selection with a great hot menu. Will definitely return

Went to the royal George yesterday.for a friends party.late afternoon to well into the evening ...it was fantastic ..the buffet ..was lovely ..they catered for everyone ..it had a fab atmosphere .the gardens were fab .it is definitely a place i would recommend..i know i will certainly be going back there again ..well done to the new owners fantastic place !!!
had dinner there this evening and was delighted they had vegan choices and the added bonus was that it was delicious and beautifully presented, highly recommend and will certainly go again when down this way.

Excellent. Get shown to your room, given REAL milk, a china T pot in your room, wonderful food, cheerfull staff and we could watch England's semi final. The only downer was....we lost!!! Enough said.
What a fantastic hotel in a beautiful part of the country run by two lovely people with friendly staff and great food. An ideal place to base yourself to go on some lovely walks or just to sit and do nothing. Thanks guys for making our stay memorable
