Visited on 1 November with a friend. We received a lovely welcome with no hesitation to change our table so we could sit nearer to the fire. Had an amazing home made chicken pie and dessert from the specials board for very reasonable money. Will definitely be returning possibly to sample the team's

Ate on benches in the garden with passing narrow boats and swans to watch as we waited for our delicious food. Steak, done to perfection, tasty chicken pie, moist burgers- all served with chunky chips- yum. Dig biscuits available for our well behaved labrador. Would strongly recommend.

Just had a lovely meal, sat in the gardens overlooking the canal in the last of the afternoon sun. What a lovely place with beautifully cooked food !!! This is what pubs used to be like before they became too corporate. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic little pub with a wonderful team running it. The pub is under new ownership as of March and the new landlady Lynn and Chef Luke are such lovely people! The pub is beautiful and set right on the canal, the food is fantastic, Luke makes everything from scratch and it's 5*! Lynn is so lovely

Can’t fault this place. The owner was very friendly, welcoming as was the rest of the team. The food was well priced, great portion sizes and really tasty. There were lots of specials and a great range of food on the menu. Good selection of beers on tap too. We moored here on our canal boat holiday
