Never had a bad meal and love the massive gluten free options on menu don’t think I’ve been anywhere with so much option, was in today and kids menu was great not standard frozen unhealthy stuff the wee man cleared his plate and loved dancing to the music playing �
Excellent place, super gluten free menu and also happy to do half portion for our daughter.. Great place to have dinner before catching boat home to Orkney...
Absolutely delicious breakfast of eggs benedict today. Beautifully presented. Poached eggs were soft, and bacon was crispy - just the way I like it ��
Great place, food of very good quality and value; friendly staff; good occasional live music. Everybody must try the rump steak and blue cheese sauce!

Had a lovely meal here last night - first time I've been to the Y Not & would certainly return! Great food, great atmosphere & excellent service. Had a burger which was delicious, but would ask for it without the bun & fries, but with a green/tomato salad next time - good value for money - brilliant place to get a buzz in Thurso!!!!
Everytime i come back home to thurso we eat here....always fantastic food, super fresh and well made good relaxed atmosphere and great to take you family :)

Charming room clear at the top of 3 flights of stairs. Good food in the restaurant downstairs. Good base for the Thurso area. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Passing through & this came up on a search, so glad I stopped. Lovely young lady welcomed me & served me & it was so good to see so many G/F choices. I had the burger & fries & it was cooked to perfection, the crispiest chips I've had in forever. Dessert was superb as well, highly recommend. I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my dinner.
Dad and four littles for late lunch. Food quality was absolutely out of this world.

Absolutely lovely food from here, fresh tasty and reasonably priced. Wide range of drinks and alcohol free alternatives. Located near to the centre. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The staff was amiable and prompt in seating us. However, the food preparation took longer than anticipated, as it appeared that the kitchen staff was cooking one meal at a time instead of multiple orders. It is recommended that the doorbell be modified or the volume be lowered to signal when the food is ready, as the current notification is quite bothersome.
Regarding the food quality, it was satisfactory overall. The steak burger was dense and dry, with a minimal amount of lettuce. On the other hand, the onion rings were cooked to perfection.
We came here as a party of 5 on a Saturday morning for brunch after doing Thurso Park Run. Food was mega tasty and just what we needed to refuel. We had the Full Scottish Breakfast and the Vegetarian Breakfast. As someone who hadn't tried haggis before and wasn't keen on the idea of it or Black Pudding I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was

Had late lunch/early dinner here before getting the ferry. The food was amazing, I had & loved the mac & cheese, so did one of the other people with me. The service was great & the guy who served us was really friendly. Friend got burgers - one chicken and one beef and both really enjoyed them. The chicken burger looked fantastic.
I had the steak burger and it is the best food I've had 'out' for a long time. The burger was tasty and just the right amount of chargrilled. It came with chips which were fluffy and yet crisp!
The coleslaw didn't taste like it was straight out of a packet like you get at some restaurants, it was great - as was the relish.
£29 for 2 burgers and 2 cokes. I would happily come here again if in the area.
After a bit of a disappointment with another restaurant my hubby found this little gem hidden away. Never tasted haddock quite like it 😋 the batter was so light and crispy that it made your mouth water 🤤. The Belgian chocolate waffle 🧇 was to die for 😋🤤

Wow, this place is excellent. Travelling solo I turned up on spec without a reservation but they quickly fitted me in although quite busy. The service was great, the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient and at no point did I feel either rushed or ignored. There was a nice ambience to the place, with some good music on, loud enough to gear but not overwhelming. But the food! I had calamari to start, haddock and chips with mushy peas as a main with a cheesecake desert. Sounds pretty dull right? But this was not the usual tired Beefeater version. This was really special, absolutely delicious!
Well done, I wish you could open a branch in Surrey where I live!

Newly refurbished pub lacks atmosphere but the seafood platter was outstanding.
The pub is clean and new but a bit sterile. Decent range of beers and pub food with good presentation.
