Bydand - Thurso - Photo album

Had a great dinner for two here, a simple and compact menu with plenty to choose from. The meals are very well presented and have amazing flavours. It’s something different from your casual restaurant, that makes it stand out from others in Thurso. Although a bit on the expensive side, a definite re
Brilliant meal hear with family tonight. Best meal 😋 ever . Fully recommend for a real treat
Possibly one of the best meals we have had and we've been to many many restaurants all over Europe. The service was very good. This is a must visit when you're up north.
We had a beautiful dinner here at this classy “hole in the wall”. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The wine list is short but of quality selections. Staff attentive and friendly. It was a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back.
Outstanding food and service…the smoked salmon to start was incredible (smoked in house) followed by the shredded beef or local salmon…delicious! Deserts were also excellent, both the sticky toffee and délice! Nice wine list…overall a great experience
Bydand Restaurant was absolutely wonderful. Both the starter and main was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this stop. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and they made us a special dessert plate. I would recommend the beef, it was the best I’ve had in Scotland.
Excellent food, lovely staff and reasonably priced. If visiting Thurso, do pop in, you won't be disappointed.
Amazing food, unbelievable service and an incredible little find! Such a small but intimate restaurant! The small tasting type / 2 course menu was to die for! Extremely recommended!
Just wow! Pre-booked our table as only in Thurso one night & so glad we booked here. From the moment we arrived until we left the service & food was exceptional. Attentive, pleasant staff, not rushed, delicious variety of food to choose from, definitely worth a visit - thank you
Enjoyed our meal at Bydand, but it did feel somewhat like they were trying to be fine dining rather than actually being fine dining – everything was just a little bit off. Still, staff were pleasant, and this is definitely the best restaurant in Thurso.
Highly highly recommend this restaurant along the NC500 route. It looks small and average from the outside but don’t let that fool you, the food is spectacular. The service is slow as there was only one lady servicing the entire restaurant, but well worth it. Scallops were one of the best we’ve had
What a great little find. Top notch food and wine with a great couple running it. Really friendly place. Veg risotto starter was lovely but the highlight was the buttery tatties with beef. Beautiful. We will certainly be back.
Went at 6pm. Only table in then but full by 7pm. Small restaurant with small tables some quite close together. Hence 4 * for atmosphere. Nice decor. Excellent fish cookery, (sea bass).
Great value for money, booked in advance. Every detail of the meal was great quality and cooked to perfection. The best meal I had on my motorcycle tour around the NC767 plus Skye
Lovely meal and excellent service plus a good price. Well worth it
Delightful restaurant with great friendly service and lovely food. It was quiet on the Saturday night when we ate there but still a pleasant atmosphere with low level background music that did not intrude on conversation.
Absolutely sensational meal. Great small family run place We had the Haggis and Scallops starters and salmon and beef mains...just pure culinary indulgence and enjoyment. Friendly staff and all the food clearly cooked from scratch and sustainable sources. Highly recommended.
Had Christmas Menu, nice food and super friendly services! Highly recommend the ale! Had a very pleasant Christmas Eve there! Thank you!
Absolutely delicious dinner. 2 or 3 course set menu with excellent variety. Family owned business. Very reasonably priced. A must go to eatery when staying in this area
