Popped in on Sunday after a walk. Sat on the decking in the sun. The staff were very accommodating and the garlic and cheese chips were fantastic. Great pint(s) of Guinness too! Thanks
Very welcoming from entering the pub. Friendly staff. We took our dog, he was acknowledged warmly. Given treats. The dinner was amazing, didn't have to wait too long. Hot and tasty. Prices are reasonable. Had a great family dinner. Plenty of parking at the back of the pub. Thank you x
Went close to closing time, didn't phase the staff or diminish the service in any way. Excellent food, great service. Brilliant staff.
A marvellous little country pub the manageress was lovely taking time to chat. Had a lovely meal, a bacon and brie pannini,salad and chips. It was that nice that as a non salad eater for over 10 years, I did eat it and wow it best salad I've ever had. The 4 stars for atmosphere is only because it was lunch time and 3 elderly locals were huddled up a corner. A wonderful place to rest and eat👍
Excellent local pub with superb beer and food
I have been twice in the last two weeks. Excellent food, fast and fresh, decent portions, very reasonable price. The steak and the fish & chips were both great value. Being table service only (due to covid) staff were extremely attentive and Covid precautions are spot on: masks, screens, disposable menus, track and trace, sanitising gel stations, etc..
Classic back st local with a lovely new management team of mother and daughter clean and friendly dogs allowed.
Beautiful pub always a great atmosphere, and the hosts are amazing and the food is beautiful.

Got to say what an amazing local pub to go for a drink and food! From the moment you walk in and welcomed by the landlord to the amazing food that’s served it’s a complete delight! I totally recommend Lisa’s cottage pie it’s the best I’ve ever eaten and the prices are totally affordable unlike a lot of these chain pubs that give you a scrawny portion and charge you the earth for it! Dog friendly to as an added bonus! Thank you for a lovely night we will be back ASAP!
