Lovely food and friendly staff.
I don't think it was that busy as most people seemed to enjoy their beers and drinks but we still waited around an hour for food. Normally it would be OK but with kids it was a bit too long.
I'd definitely recommend this place for food. Everything was fresh and seem
A fantastic little pub for food and staff are lovely. We couldn't fault our food at all. The only negative is cleanliness, the carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed for a few days and the toilets need scrubbing.
Stopped for lunch. Tried the steak and ale pie. Very good. The homemade chips were great. Portion size just right for lunchtime. The highlight of the lunch was the homemade ginger sponge and custard. Fantastic! 😀
Popped in for a quick meal and a drink on my way past. The service was excellent. I liked that there were half portions on offer. I settled for a jacket potato in the end. It came out promptly and was tasty. Apologies for the blurred picture.
Went to the bridge inn on good Friday. Amazing choice of food on the menu from sandwiches, grill and pub faves. I had the gammon, parents had lasagna and steak. Everything was cooked perfectly. The chips were proper cooked chips, portion sizes were excellent and just in general a great atmosphere! 1
We’ve just returned from a quick lunch time meal at The Bridge Inn Thurgoland and wanted to thank the new owner and chef for a fantastic meal. We ordered the veggie burger, scampi and Stake Mushroom pie, it all came with the most delicious homemade chips. The pie was the best stake pie I’ve ever had
A great pit-stop just off the Trans Pennine Trail for lunch and drinks. We had the Double Cheeseburger and the Jalfrezi curry. Both portions were very generous and the triple cooked chips are absolutely awesome. We left the pub satisfied and very full. The staff are amazingly friendly and I think we
Popped in for lunch and a drink after a family walk and cannot rate highly enough! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Dogs and children were made very welcome, with nothing too much trouble. The food was exceptional, great traditional menu choices, able to adapt the menu if required and provide Glut
Booked in for lunch in the christmas/new year break. After a walk along the trans pennine trail we received a warm welcome from very friendly staff even with or possibly because of a 6month old pup! We were all made very welcome. Good menu with very large portions and the sponge pudding for dessert
