Great establishment. We stopped here for Sunday dinner after exploring Bradgate Park for a couple of hours. Food was great, we all cleared our plates and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I shall be visiting again 👍

This review is for the skittles alley. Not been there for a few years and it has obviously been renovated to a good standard since then. Really enjoyed traditional faggots chips sausage mash peas and beans. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a good night out.

We was out on a local Sunday ramble and came across this village pub. We was greeted with a smile and warm welcome. We had a refreshing drink in the outside terrace area. Will definitely be back to try the Sunday lunch as it it looked delicious.

Under new management so thought we'd give it a try. Friendly, helpful staff, food fantastic and outdoor dining area really pretty with the summer flowers in full bloom. Not cheap, although restaurant prices have gone up everywhere, however our meals were substantial portions and great value. Will definitely come back.

Years since l went to The Wheatsheaf until last week when sadly it was a funeral wake. We had the bowling alley which was lovely and clean. Food was a buffet, a fantastic selection covering everyone's taste, alll fresh and very moreish. Lovely polite staff. Well done to you all.

We passed this pub regularly but never tried it until recently. We met the new owners who recently took over on our visit who are friendly and made you feel very welcome. With a new menu coming soon they were extremely accommodating by adapting their current menu to suit child portions. The food was great with a variety of options from a generous serving of Sunday roast to pub classic scampi. Their selection of "on tap" options were great with plenty to choose from. They have an onsite skittle alley which can be used upon request by calling ahead for availability, which the room is amazingly presented with which would be great for function bookings. Outdoor seating area is also available to the rear, enclosed from the main road. Furthermore the whole pub is also dog friendly with water bowls outside. I can safely say, even though we have closer options in our village, we are certainly making this our "local" going forward.
