Absolutely superb. Thorpeness itself is such a wonderful place to visit anyway, but staying in the Dolphin was the icing on the cake. Central. Lovely homely warm comfortable rooms. I ate in the restaurant in the evening, had 3 courses all of which were delicious. Breakfast in the morning was superb
Thorpeness is a delightful village, and The Dolphin is in tune with this “vibe”, so a perfect place to stay. Parking can be a bit difficult if a sunny holiday day - but there are public car parks nearby. There are 3 bedrooms, our room No 3 was not large but very pleasant, and quite stylish. The Brea
Had a lovely stay at the Dolphin with a large comfortable room and quality food. As with any pub you expect noise until closing but it wasn't a problem even for ourselves that live in a quiet area. After closing it was very peaceful and a good night sleep was had.

It's a lovely place for lunches. Evening meals. Pub parts great lovely staff. Plus side I can get an oat milk mocha. Dog friendly too.
Only here for one night. All on my own with a super king size bed. Just had the 6oz burger and a drink. Very friendly and helpful staff.
