Went as a family for 1st time . Negative: Not the cheapest with young kids as can get similar meal with drinks and s dessert for same price elswhere. But both kids and adults portion very good size. I'd happily share an adult meal next time &maybe squeeze a dessert in next time. Staff very friendly &food/portion size very good. Definitely visit again
My sister just moved to the village so we was acquainting ourselves with the local pub. The food was delicious, portions are huge, good quality and so tasty. The atmosphere was lovely and staff really friendly. Thank you, we will be returning x
Thought we would try for a Sunday roast in the evening, wasn't expecting them to still be serving them or have anything left from lunch but they did! Pleasantly surprised. Wow what a meal! Huge portion and great value for money. Super tasty gravy and everything cooked to perfection. We will be back soon.
We arrived at 3pm after a long walk .
The staff were excellent and very friendly, nothing was to much trouble and they kindly charged my phone for a bit .
The meals were delicious and plentiful.

Absolutely fantastic food! Philly cheesesteak baguette and Fox chips, and the Mrs had a korma curry. Great portion sizes and value for money! Lovely staff and thoroughly enjoyed the visit!
Fantastic, if your looking for a great, hearty Yorkshire pub with wonderful food this is the place for you. Stopped there for lunch today and everything fabulous. Had the jumbo fish and chips and it definitely lived up to its name with a true Yorkshire portion!!!! In my group we had 2 senior citizens who ate from the 2 courses for £10 menu, and they were both full to the brim, great value.
The locals clearly know the value of The Fox as car park and tables full for lunch so suggest you book.
I will definitely be going back for more
Called in today, I had crispy chicken in Cantonese sauce which included fried rice, chips and prawn crackers.
When it arrived my eye was drawn straight to the fried rice, just looked like boiled rice had just been thrown in a greasy pan and left to it's own devices, and tasted like that too.
Real shame because the rest of the meal was very good, and loads of it. Whatever was going through the chefs mind to put that rice on the plate I will never know, he/ she would have done better just leaving the rice off the plate and I wouldn't have thought anything of it.
I would return but if I got a repeat I would send it straight back

Called in on way home one Saturday tea time and was almost fully booked but managed to fit us in.
Food was outstanding and portions were huge! Prices were good for quality and quantity.
Just love this place, if you are in the area you have to try here. Have been for food before but had a Sunday dinner this time. It was gorgeous, lovely gravy too. Vegetables are separate and tbh you don't have much room to put them on your plate !!
The prices are good and check out the Christmas menu, 3 courses for £20 can't go wrong. 👍😎

My partner and I booked a table for an early tea. We both had a pulled beef baguette with onions and beef gravy. The beef was so tender and the gravy was amazing. We will be returning again soon .
This pub is absolutely great for food. I am local and often come in for a drink not for food but I will say food is amazing. But better than that the staff are amazing as well all of them do anything they can to help Matty is the pinnacle of what that means he is a go to guy. Making it a winner

We came in on a busy Saturday night and luckily they managed to find us a table. The place was lovely and packed full. Food was excellent. We had a chicken, ham and mushroom pie, and a chicken & rib combo. Both were excellent. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back.
Food was good and the service was very welcoming.. post lockdown, this was our first pub visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The portions are quite big for the price you pay and would totally recommend this place.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch today, huge portions & really delicious. Staff all friendly helpful. Would highly recommend a meal here and would love to try their other menus one day. Their Sunday lunch takeaway option seemed very popular too.
