We stopped for lunch after a dog walk nearby. We received a warm welcome and chose to sit with the dog in the bar area. We had a burger and a fish finger sandwich, the food was fab, everything appeared homemade and very fresh. I must mention the onion rings which came with the burger, they are huge, unfortunately we ate them before I thought to take a photo! The pub has not long reopened with new owners, we wish them all the best of luck, the food was excellent and we will certainly stop again for lunch when we are next passing.

My husband and I had the ‘foxy’ breakfast. We both highly recommend to try this, locally sourced sausages, home made hash browns that have a distinctive taste.. moreish. Service was fantastic will be back and will try the Sunday roast 😁

We had a sunday roast here a few weeks ago, the food was absolutley amazing so tasty and extremely well presented, i dont really eat mash but after eating it at this place i loved it, so creamy and tasty will definitely be back and already recommended the roast dinners to a few family and friends.

Dropped in on the off chance this evening 20th Oct, our meals were really tasty, nice portions and good value for money...everything was freshly made and the cheesecake was to die for...well worth the visit, as a result we will visit again...

I know the owner reads these reviews and I know that this pub has changed hands a few times in the past few years but this pub is crying out for serving breakfasts! I've eaten here a few times and food and service are very good, I just wish there was a bit more in the garden for kids to do.... A slide, a few swings, you are nearly there... Beautiful pub by a busy road and close to some stunning villages, this one is worth a go.

We have been to this pub a few times and absolutely love it. The staff are always extremely accommodating and go out of their way to make you comfortable. We turned up to eat after our daughters Birthday party, they let us have an extra table for her presents and gave us a bin bag for her rubbish. We cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for amazing staff, good food and a warm welcome this is the place to visit.

Thought we’d try eating at the Fox , we had a lovely meal ,my partners fish and chips was very tasty , nice and crispy batter , lovely fresh fish, she said it was very good. I myself had a steak which was cooked to perfection you didn’t really need a steak knife as you could have cut it with a butter knife . The restaurant is very cosy and decorated very tastefully the only thing I would like to have seen is a roaring fire , as we were sat near it but unfortunately it wasn’t it what a shame, we will definitely be going back again and try something else off the menu Tony (Lord)

Good, honest local pub. Visited last weekend with friends and while the menu isn’t super-extensive there was choice for everyone. With prices going up everywhere, the mains were still fairly priced for decent grub. Only downside was the lack of real ale choice with only Landlord on tap.

Lovely country pub, which serves great food, in an extremely clean restaurant, you can also have the same menu served in the bar. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about food allergies, they had a reasonable choice on the menu for those who are in need of a gluten free option, the staff even went to the trouble of making gluten free option of the sauces for the steak my daughter had. The food came well presented, was cooked to order, good portion sizes and was delicious. Three of us had two courses and two drinks each which came to a very reasonable £98. I would highly recommend the Fox Inn for a trip out for a special occasion or like us a great finish to a day out to the seaside. Brilliant keep up the good work.

My wife and myself eat out a lot and I have to admit that we've drove past here lots of times without stopping. Never again. We were very pleased. Lovely decor, great welcoming staff and the food was terrific. Cannot recommend it enough. There should be a queue a mile long.

We've driven past The Fox Inn on many occasions and noticed it had been closed for a while. The good news is that it has now re-opened and is building back again. We called in on a Friday lunchtime after a morning's fruit picking on a hot day. We thought we'd try The Fox Inn on the way back. We had a good, friendly welcome from the two staff on duty. Service was good throughout our meal. Unlike most other customers we decided to sit inside in the restaurant which is quite large. We had the place to ourselves. It's decorated in rather a dark colour scheme but everything was set out nicely and it was pleasant by the window. The lunch menu is relatively simple but we were perfectly happy with the choice. Scampi and Chips and Fish and Chips were duly ordered. We sat back with our drinks. There are a couple of keg beers and just the one cask ale, Timothy Taylor's Landlord which was well kept and in good condition. Apparently as their custom builds back they'll stock more cask beers. There is also a chiller with a range of bottled beers. Our food was well presented when it came, tasty, hot and not too large portions. About right for lunchtime All in all a good meal. We would be happy to stop here again. As the pub is on the main road it is a bit noisy but it is nice inside and the garden had plenty of tables plus a bit of shade. Examples of the menus have already been posted. 4 out of 5 stars at the moment. Good luck to The Fox Inn for the future!!

Been to this pub a few times since its opened and got to say I'm so glad I have a local now with such polite caring staff. I always eat after work and the food is very tasteful and not expensive and a great atmosphere. Got to meet the owner who is also very caring towards customers and always polite. Couldn't ask for more in a family local pub. Keep up the good work 👏

This is the second time we have called in for a bite to eat, and i have to say what a very pleasant experience it’s been on both occasions. Food was again excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. 100% recommend this venue. Thank you.
