I was told about this place a while ago by my daughter in law. I was actually surprised at what a lovely place it is. It over looks the golf course and kind of has a holiday feel. Breakfast was amazing, I had the Spanish eggs, really tasty and a generous portion. Some of the recent reviews are not favourable but I think they must have been wrote by trolls with a vendetta. Everyone we could see was having a lovely time.
I would definitely come back again.

Host With The Most! If you want a baby shower then this is the place to have it!! Jamie & James put on a delicious Afternoon Tea for my partner and all of her family & friends. J&J prepped the event with Balloons and decorations and played good tunes throughout. Pre-Shower, Jamie recommended some fun games to play and helped us put together a bespoke menu for all guests. The restaurant is fresh, hip & has a modern vibe. J-J and their team put lots of energy into the event and left everything on the pitch, so-to-speak. Thanks The Oaks for putting on a wonderful event! It’s a lovely place to be in, beautiful wherever you sit. The food and coffee is always good. It’s just a shame the kitchen’s not open longer!
I really enjoy the events they put on too - particularly around Christmas time. They’re such great hosts!
Lovely cafe. Good service. 2 eggs on the large breakfast however would be better and maybe a straw in the orange juice

Oh wow, I was in the process of leaving a review when I noticed this establishment has been review bombed by a lot of angry Karen's. Obviously I can't comment on what happened but for them to all gaggle together in an attempt to destroy a businesses reputation online is pretty horrendous. It goes to show how easy it is for this to happen.
Surely one collective review is enough to demonstrate you are upset or not happy. Unfortunately businesses can't get it right 100% of the time and is often a learning process.
When a herd of Karen's do this to a business they have no care and consideration for the staff members or people that rely on this business including other local business's. They are blinkered by hate, anger and vengeance and that is not how things should operate in a modern day society.
I might add I have eaten here several times and it's always been great, sure there have been times where its not been 100% perfect but nowhere ever is. The staff have always been polite and courteous and friendly.
By the sounds of things, maybe something went wrong with this party of people but a business can't grow and learn from things like this if its just ripped down and pulled apart.

Came her with a group of friends for breakfast, service was brilliant and personal. Highly recommend the full English breakfast. Cooked perfectly and priced fairly too. Would recommend this to any of my friends :)
I have been going to The Oaks since it opened and cannot fault the food , the staff and atmosphere . Always welcomed with a friendly face and always attentive in making sure I am looked after whether I am having just a coffee or full Sunday lunch . Highly recommend anyone to visit The Oaks and their sister The Sycamore West Parade 💕
Absolutely love eating at the Oaks, food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Its nice to go somewhere so genuinely welcoming. Will be going again without a doubt.

Have been a good few times for lunches/coffee and always had a great experience, love the vibe, so much so we chose the oaks as a venue for my parent's anniversary party. James and Jamie are wonderful and made everything really easy and it was such a LOVELY, chilled evening. The food was delicious, much better than a standard party buffet, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone had a fabulous time!
Fabulous food, attentive staff, only thing that would stop me going back is, is was so noisy when full. Going for a catch-up was impossible. Just the buildings acoustics, if I went earlier or later it might have been easier on the ears. Nothing realistically they could do about it though! I do wonder if there is a less crowded or carpeted area for next time. The fish finger sandwich was fabulous!

Absoluetly delicious food. I had a the Oaks Breakfast with a friend and the food was perfect and so was the coffee.
The staff are very friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere. The way the staff were ineracting with the familys was brilliant too, take your friends or family here you are guaranteed to enjoy.
