Plenty at the Square is a lovely place for an evening meal with a friendly community vibe and local seasonal produce. BYO or pop into The Cobbles bar opposite for a pre-dinner drink. Then across the cobble-stone courtyard to Plenty. The Mushroom Bouginon was delicious - nice flavour combo of wine, garlic and mushroom - with mash, roast parsnip and baby carrot with green salad. My friends had the Bombay potato filo crust pie. For dessert we all opted for sticky toffee apple pudding which was served with Apple ice cream. The apple ice cream was amazing - like eating tangy appley snow! So light and fluffy. Then for coffee. Like most Sydneysiders I'm a bit of a coffee snob. Plenty at the Square made the best coffee I've had in the UK. Locally roasted in Huddersfield, the barista knew how to serve a great flat white to round off our meal.
This place really does the best food I have ever eaten in Thornton. It's got friendly staff, delicious food and they don't throw anything away. What's not to like? Delicious.
The food options are really varied -vegetarian/vegan/gluten free and incredibly tasty! I had the best cheese toastie I have ever had - complete with chutneys from Plenty. The coffee has a great flavour and of course there is a good selection of cake! It's very reasonably priced&in a friendly environment.
Lovely food, great atmosphere, top service. Highly recommend it!
Lovely atmosphere and lots of choice from the menu, and all seems to be made at Plenty! Cakes are yummy, fresh scones are super delicious, interesting drinks including some top quality teas, light lunch items and filling hearty meals. There's a lovely walk nearby over a bridge so you can make it a proper outing when you visit. Don't miss the jars of pickles and preserves to take home!!
Amazing coffee, food and atmosphere! They really put effort into everything they make. Everything on the dish was homemade and very tasty and wholesome. Coffee was fantastic as well
Spent a lovely afternoon with friends at Plenty. The food was brilliant and we all enjoyed what we had ordered. The staff as always were friendly/helpful and did not push us out after we had finished eating but just left us to chat. A proper little gem.
Very nice cafe with a choice of vegan and vegetarian food. It was real tasty. The wait was a little longer than I’d expect (we waited 30-40 minutes), but that's okay if you're not in a rush. I'd increase vegan options and enhance the protein to carb ratio 👌🏻
Delicious fresh food. Excellent coffees & cafe. Lovely staff & cosy cafe atmosphere.
Great little cafe , good coffee and cake. Nice staff, very enthusiastic about their cafe.
Interesting location with local art
Thank you for the delicious meal you gave Thornton Library Workers. We all enjoyed it,food was delicious, service excellent. We will be returning.
Vegan vegetarian cafe - a little gem tucked away in Thornton. Had mint tea, came with free refills. Tried the soup of the day, it was celeriac soup and came with really thick bread. It was very tasty. The staff were very helpful, friendly and approachable.
Simply delicious food. The "Plenty" salad served with my bean burrito was amazing. Generous, varied and tasty and a million miles away from the tomato-and-cucumber-on-a-piece-of-lettuce that serves as a salad in most cafes. I only wish I lived closer. Everyone I was with agreed that this was a wonderful cafe.
A really good selection of vegetarian bites, full meals, sweets and good coffee! Inventive food and a lovely atmosphere.
Friendly and welcoming , particularly on a dismal rainy day! Innovative veggie food too!
