Visited last night on the way back from the races good food reasonably priced and good sized portions, exactly what you want for classic pub grub. Would recommend and will visit again if I'm in the area 👏

Excellent meal, friendly service will definitely come again, the dog was welcome as well. Best steak and ale pie I have had in ages, crammed with succulent beef came with lots of fresh veggies and delicious gravy. Just had room for a very tasty apple and blackberry crumble with ice cream.

Utterly lovely pub for food! Spicy wings were gorgeous, not stupid hot, but a pleasant level of hot! Could have happily just eaten a huge plate of those! The stack was cooked and prepared to my requirements and again was lovely. Eton mess cheesecake, definitely different, tasty and unusual. Definitely worth a visit here

Searched Google to find this venue. It was the first time that the Black Horse had opened at 12.00 on a Saturday. The service took a little longer than we had hoped for but there were 12 in our party. We would would not hesitate in booking to go there again.

Lovely country pub with an emphasis on the food offer which was excellent. The pies are always s good choice on a cold day. Roaring log fire made the final touch.

First time visit to the Black Horse. It's a lovely Suffolk country pub with a friendly welcome and great service. Most importantly the food was delicious and plentiful. Will definitely return!

Lovely pub, friendly staff. Not the most extensive menu, but no complaints about the food. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely friendly staff, tables outside, this is a great traditional country pub for summer afternoons as well as cosy winter evenings. Stopped off for a great burger dinner, one chicken and one veggie, really good hand cut chips, coleslaw and tasty fillings. Good to see a range of tasty vegetarian options (not the poor choice of two that so many pubs provide). We noticed several take-out meals were also served while we ate outside so seems a popular choice. Locally brewed Strummer ale was smashing too. Very difficult to fault.

We had Sunday lunch with our friends and this was one of the best roasts we have had. Food amazing and staff were so helpful and friendly. Will be visiting again soon.

Really lovely village pub, the building is stunning with wooden beams and the fire can be on which makes for a lovely atmosphere. Staff are lovely and there is good parking. Food is good particularly the sticky toffee pudding and they are happy to make swaps. There are also a few vegan options ie vegan burger. Otherwise good typical pub food.

We stumbled across this wonderful place, whilst out for a drive. Can't rate it highly enough. Staff are very welcoming. Specials menu has lots to choose from as had the dessert board. Disappointed I was too full up from my main to fit one in! We shall definitely be returning.

A great meal out with the family, the Black Horse catered for all ten of us without batting an eyelid. Roomy table with good access and light from a window behind. The staff were exceptionally attentive and speedy in their work. The menu covered a Sunday roast format with other dishes available for those who prefer. A variety of vegetarian dishes available too. The quality of the food was very good so compliments to the chef are due. Will definitely visit again when down in the area. Thank you to all staff at the Black Horse.

I was really impressed with the variety of meals offered. I was having a meal out with my wife and family, so the five of us chose different meals. We were all really pleased with our choices. The portion size as well as the quality of the meals was very good. We were also very pleased with the kind service we received. We will all be coming back as soon as we can. Thank you.
