The Red Lion - Thornby - Photo album

We went for an evening meal. Great service from start to finish. Everyone was really helpful and made you feel at ease. Food was amazing, we had the hake and gluten free burger. The gluten free burger roll was great too. All in all a great meal. Thank you
Went here for a meal with friends. We all had the rib-eye which was amazing. The deserts were really nice and reasonably priced for an independent pub. Really good value for money.
Fantastic food and service - really impressed with the quality of the cooking and the selection on the menu. We stopped by on a sunday without a reservation and were luckily able to get an outside table. Can't recommend highly enough. The blackberry curd tart is a showstopper!
We called in on speck...really beautiful old beamed pub/restaurant. We sat outside as it suited our needs that day. Really good menu that had mire than just pub grub there was confit of belly pork/duck/steak/veggi dishes and they kindly swopped some bits around on the kids menu to accommodate us. On
What a great pub! We booked for a special meal and had the upstairs private dining room. The food was excellent - really good pub grub with just a little extra something, drinks reasonable and just the most attentive and lovely staff. It was a really lovely night all round
My first meal at the Lion and won't be the last. Staff were so friendly, nothing seemed to much trouble & the food was delicious. Very rare to find a place that gets both right these days.
I visited for the beer festival, guest ciders were lovely and the live music was great both Friday and Saturday night. Plenty of room for everyone, bar service was slow but the demand was high.
Great local pub with a spacious room and excellent food.
Superb new car park, great beers and excellent food, well worth a visit
Still has the feeling of a pub and not a bar. Food is fantastic and quite reasonably priced. Staff are polite and helpful. It's our second time going and it won't be long until we make it our 3rd time. Rough price, for beer, wine, starters, main and pudding, albeit we shared a bit of the starters an
Visited today (04/04/2023) with a friend for lunch, having the chicken Kiev as a main and rhubarb custard pudding for dessert. Both the food and service were exceptional and I would highly recommend.
This is an exceptional pub with food that rates far better than most top London spots. Certainly the 'go to' food place in this part of Northamptonshire/Leicestershire. Its secret? Simple menu. Just a few wines. No fuss. Good price. Always gets it right.
Great little dog friendly pub. Warm and cosy, really good service by efficient and professional staff combined with excellent food from a talented chef. Great atmosphere and well worth the visit. Well done and keep up the high standards
Fabulous food, cozy atmosphere, patient and friendly staff - perfect for a meal with a friend 😊
Had a lovely meal here last weekend with my partner whilst on a camper van weekend away. Absolutely delicious, will have to come back again soon! πŸ˜‹
Lovely pub. Sadly the variety for vegetarians was limited. No pub classics but the menu was quite varied.
I had the fish & double fried chips, followed by cheesecake today. The food and service was excellent, which completed the experience. An example for other pubs to try and meet. Thank you to all the staff.
We have eaten here five times now and can say without any doubt, just fantastic food and service to boot. It’s so hard to fine a pub that does constantly good food, but now we have can’t wait to go back. You will not be disappointed πŸ‘Œ
