Wow this is really an amazing place to stay from the time we walked through the door all the staff have been friendly and helpful I am disabled and the room we were allocated was a long way for me to walk but my room was changed for me to a much nearer one to the main area with no problem, the food was really good in the evening we ate in the bar also enjoying some very well kept real ale, breakfast was also well cooked we chose the English breakfast and it was very well presented and very tasty I would like to thank the Manager and Danielle for their kindness in allocating me an easier room and for making our stay so very enjoyable, we will definitely return

We had the very best night away. It was great to have Patch our dog stay with us. He adore Fell running and it was his holiday as much as ours. This is a truly brilliant place also because the welcome (even in the power cut) was warm and friendly, the room was great, the food and the beer are outstanding. Lovely people running the place who work EXTREMELY hard. Thank you for a great stay x

Food was exceptional. Came in for a bite to eat whilst one a day out in the lake district. Wasn't disappointed at all. Thoroughly happy we stopped here. Definitely be back when we next go the lake district. Value for the price paid. 2 courses: £19.95 (Sounds a bit pricey, Well worth it honest!). Soup of the day. 8oz sirloin steak with all the trimmings. Couldn't fault at all, Food was fantastic. Nicest steak I've probably had. Portion size was great. Staff was helpful and always on hand of need anything. Got welcomed when ordering food to a complimentary bread and butter to begin the meal with, Cleanliness was 10/10. Very smart, Welcoming and warm environment setting set back in the mountains with great surrounding views. Highly recommend.
