Had breakfast here for the first time. It was a wonderful experience. The food presentation was well presented and it tasted good too. I will be back! This place is now my regular joint to visit for good quality and well prepared and well presented food.

Fantastic!!! Popped in for a quick late lunch today with my friend after hiking around Epping Forest. Halloumi wrap was sooo tasty. Well-priced. Very friendly staff. Got to try the AMARETTI BISCUITS (ground almond & cherry) - they are tooo delicious 😋😋. We’ll done guys. Look forward to returning soon x

Lovely cafe. Tables outside. Tried the red berry tart. Recommend to ask to get it heated and served with ice cream. Heavenly!

What a turnaround for this place! Me and a friend visited here today for a late breakfast, but ended up having a full lunch. The menu was too tempting. We had the chicken burger and the beef burger. Both were filling, tasty, and full of flavour. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Stark contrast to the Belgique days. Great prices too - friendly, happy and approachable staff who are more than happy to give their opinion on what dish is the best after we got a little indecisive. Thoroughly recommend.

We used to go frequently when it was Cafe Belgique. Hadn't visited for a while but I am sure glad we have re found the place. The food is leagues ahead of what it used to be, they also do great coffee. The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone, it is also reasonably priced. It can be busy but be patient as the service is pretty quick.

Visited three times now and each time the coffee was great. I’ve had one breakfast and two lunches, all were excellent in all aspects, flavour, freshness, quality of cooking and presentation. The staff were as equally delightful as the food.....full of bonhomie.

After coming here many times I don’t know why I never wrote a review but now I would like to add one in after my breakfast this morning. As usual, the staff are always lovely and accommodating, willing to help however they can. It’s always nice to be greeted with smiley faces when I come in. The food is always very good quality. Today, my scrambled eggs were seasoned perfectly. Consistency wasn’t too dry or wet. Bread as usual has lovely flavour and you get an obvious sense for good quality. On this occasion I would say my hot chocolate was more along the lines of just hot milk, probably needed a tad more chocolate, but still nice. The prices are perfectly reasonable. It shows in the quality and the amount you receive. Whether it be smoked salmon, bacon, sausages (which are especially delicious), I always feel I pay for what I get. The atmosphere is always relaxing. Music matches the place. I could sit for ages quite happily. While I don’t often indulge in sweets, when I do here, they never disappoint. I highly recommend the profiterole tart. It is lighter than it may seem and has beautiful notes of cinnamon that don’t overpower the flavour of the other elements. Overall I definitely recommend this place for a breakfast/lunch whatever the occasion. You will not be disappointed. My only recommendation to staff is to make sure when there’s time to check back on customers after they receive food. Obviously most of the time everything is perfect, but it would help make customers even happier I think. Thank you everyone at Bonhomie, keep up the good work!

Our small walking group from Winchmore Hill WI chanced upon this cafe/restaurant whilst walking the Oak Trail in Epping Forest. The choice of food was fabulous with all tastes catered for and all keenly priced. Everything was well presented, quick service by delightful staff and our breakfasts (mushrooms on toast, avocado on toast and feta and spinach croissant were delicious. Just what we needed before starting the second half of our walk. We will return to do the walk in reverse and we’ll be sure to make a stop at the Bonhomie.
