We were greeted at the door by a very welcoming staff member. We waited in the bar area for the rest of our party to arrive and again the bar staff were very welcoming. We were seated in very pleasant area and the waitress who served us was excellent. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was first class. Best Sunday lunch we have had in a restaurant in long while.
We were greeted promptly at the front desk and shown to our table. Our waiter introduced himself as Alex. He promptly brought the menus and took our drinks order. The drinks came within a few minutes. Alex took our food orders which were served within 10 minutes. The food was very hot and delicious. Alex was very friendly and helpful. We were very satisfied with our visit today and look forward to coming again

Received a quick and warm welcome on arrival and shown to table for meal.
Told that Natalie was to be our server and she soon appeared to take both order for drinks and meal.
Drinks were given in a short period of time.
Starter was served just as we were thinking it was taking time to be served.
Main course quickly followed the starter as was sweet.
The food was hot, tasty and we felt good value.
The atmosphere and ambiance of venue was also to our liking.
The only negative or constructive comment would be Natalie was really rushed and we did not think you had enough front of house serving staff which resulted in us needing to ask for further drink service as opposed to your staff having the time to ask us.
Took advantage of the Thursday Steak offer!! Two Steak meals and a bottle of wine for only £32 !! Amazing value for excellent meals. A mention to Adam who looked after us, very professional and attentive. Thanks for a great meal. Will be back again very soon, most likely a Thursday!! 😂

I arrived alone and was advised that the other members of the party were not yet at the restaurant however I was given the choice of being seated or a drink at the bar.
I chose to have a drink which was conveniently added to our table tab.
Once seated with friends we spent a lot of time chatting before deciding on what to eat. At no time did we feel rushed or pressured and the server was polite and understanding.
Food was tasty and plentiful.
We were actually the last to leave the restaurant but again we didn't feel rushed.
I will definitely return as there is such a variety of dishes that I would like to try and the range of drinks is excellent too.
Booked for birthday celebrations. 6 adults and 2 children. Starters, mains and desserts were very nice. Staff were really great, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The family had 7 starters, 8 mains, 7 desserts and accompanying soft drinks. Bill came to £266. Lovely afternoon with the family in a relaxed atmosphere with good food and attentive staff. Marvelous, thank you team.
Nice comfortable setting, great playlist, fortunately as we had a bit of a wait for food. However the manager acknowledged this without our saying and offered those affected a free desert. The quality of the food tempted us. And was well worth it. As my husband said, the food was so nice it was worth the wait.
Nice venue, tables not too close together. Service always pleasant & attentive. No loud music whilst trying to talk which is very welcome. Drinks variety not bad, same Draft options each time we visit, would be nice to see some variety maybe. Menu seems to be the same across seasons & not much change from last year. Love Dogs but not around food .. we have allergies & this causes anxiety & stress if nearby.
The staff are outstanding. Welcoming, attentive, friendly & really appear to want you to enjoy your time with them. Food was also great. Can't praise the staff enough.
We were very impressed to find somewhere of such quality only 10 mins drive from where we live. The ambiance and atmosphere were great. Just 2 little moans, £8 for a glass of wine, come on this is ridiculous for a pub. Secondly we both ordered steaks from the grill which were described as being served with mushrooms. We both got 1 mushroom !!! Either make it worth while or don't advertise meal with mushrooms.
Spacious and comfortable bar area where we were able to eat with our dog. Treats and water available for them.Separate restaurant area for table service dining. Lovely food, always well prepared. Friendly and helpful staff. One of favourite places to dine.
Staff was pleasant, restaurant was very clean and tidy. Food was fresh and portion sizes were great.
It’s a little bit pricey but you certainly get what you pay for.
Amazing place, Alex our server was great was making us laugh constantly and was really friendly. Food was 10 out 10 and the atmosphere was so cozy. This place is elite 👌

We hadn’t booked but we were accommodated a table indoors, it was busy. Great selection of food and drinks, enjoyed our meals. I would have liked a bit more halloumi on my kebab though. Plus it was very hot indoors could have done with better ventilation.
I booked 25 people from our Society last night for an end of show get together. Everything from the start to the end of the evening was perfect. The staff were so accommodating and the food was delicious. I have emailed Emily over the past couple of months and every time she has answered my queries straight away. We will be definately be back with more bookings in the future but would be nice to have the voucher to go with. Well done to everyone at the Quill and Tapper last night.
We took a party of 31 mainly senior citizens for lunch. The pub arranged a convenient area for us and made us very welcome. Everything was well organised and we had an excellent time. The staff were great, it can't have been easy with that many people ordering all at once! Thanks especially to Emily, Dotty and Dan serving us and to Jodie, Louise and Greg in the kitchen. (I hope I got those names right).
Surroundings very nice. Staff pleasant. Sunday Roast really nice. Service can be a little on the slow side at times. This wouldn't stop me coming back. Enjoy hi our roasts very much
