Amazing food, I went for the Ultimate Southern Fried Chicken burger and I was not disappointed at all!!! Staff are absolutely incredible, even had a nice chat with the regulars who couldn’t recommend the pub enough!!! Will be back soon!!
Just a generally good pub to go for a pint after work or take the family out for an inexpensive meal when you can't be bothered to cook. The bar gets stacked very quickly however, they could do with more staff in my opinion to improve the service level. The current staff are very nice.
Fantastic family pub. Great choice on menu. The steaks are beautiful and the pizza's are freshly prepared to taste. They are absolutely delicious. The pub has a lovely friendly atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Denise is so friendly and always makes sure we are well looked after. Lovely lady. There is also plenty of of free parking. There is are large garden at the back with plenty of seating space and a fantastic play area for the children. Thursday quiz night and free entertainment most weekends. Always a great time at the Plough and Harrow.
Nice enough food at reasonable price. Service was dire though. Only one bar staff trying to take food orders, serve drinks, and - only too true in this day and age - trying to make coffees at same time. Ridiculous!! Felt really sorry for the staff member. She was under way too much pressure.
Food was amazing. I actually went for a quite drink, got food envy off the table next to me and decided to have a steak I'm going to return at the weekend to watch the aj fight. Staff couldn't do enough and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Good job plough ill be back
Food was good quality, wait times weren't bad at all. Lovely variety of drinks and was served by Sophie at the bar who helped me narrow down my drinks choice as I couldn't decide. Would come again!
When for a meal with my fiance for her birthday. The food was amazing and the server shaunna was amazing, so polite and knew what she was doing. I had an issue with my food with the cheese and she got that sorted for me promptly. Wonderful atmosphere and overall great pub.
Had a lovely meal here a couple of weeks ago with my Dad, my husband and our grandaughter.
The staff were really friendly, the food was really nice.
We were served by Shaunna, nothing was too much trouble for her.
It was a lovely afternoon.
There is a play area outside for the kiddies, climbing frame, slide, swings.
We will definitely be coming again 🙂
We had a voucher with 30% off so thought we would try it mid week for a meal. It was a haunt of his during his youth so it was a step back in time. I had the cowboy burger and he had the mixed grill. It took a long time to come, well over 45 minutes. The burger was so dry I could only eat a quarter of it. The mixed grill looked great but the steak was a lump of gristle and the chicken so dry, it was inedible. I complained to the waitress and she said it was the new chef, if you can't cook the basics, you're not a chef. We were offered two free desserts! Even with 30% off this was not value for money. We will not go again.

Have visited the plough & harrow a number of times over the past few months and throughly enjoyed each visit.
The food is really good and great value especially the pizza’s they are a hit with the kids!!
My server Denise couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing was to much trouble and she really made my experience enjoyable. Great customer service is hard to come by these days so a wonderful place all round. Will be back next weekend. Thanks
my family and I have dined at The Plough and Harrow several times over the last 2 months and have enjoyed every meal.
Excellent food quality, cooked fresh and served well
Management and staff very friendly and helpful.
The Plough and Harrow pub is an absolute gem, and it's not just because of its charming ambiance and fantastic drinks. What sets this establishment apart from the rest is the exceptional quality of its toilets. As soon as you step into the lavatory, you are greeted with an immaculate and inviting space. The cleanliness is unparalleled, with every nook and cranny spotless and fresh. The floors gleam with a polished shine, and the fragrance of a subtle, pleasant air freshener fills the air. The toilets themselves are a testament to luxury, boasting sleek designs and top-of-the-line fixtures. The stalls offer a sense of privacy and comfort, with spaciousness that allows for an enjoyable and unhurried experience.
But it's not just the aesthetics that make the Plough and Harrow's toilets outstanding; it's the attention to detail and the little touches that truly elevate the experience. Soft, high-quality hand towels are always readily available, and the soap dispensers are consistently stocked with luxurious, fragrant liquid soap. The presence of a dedicated attendant ensures that everything is in perfect order, and any needs or concerns are promptly addressed. It's evident that the management of the Plough and Harrow recognizes the importance of a well-maintained washroom, and their commitment to providing a superior restroom experience is truly commendable. So, whether you're popping in for a pint or just looking for a comfortable pit stop, the Plough and Harrow's exceptional toilets will leave you impressed and refreshed.
The venue was great the staff were really helpful, really informative. The food was delicious and only would say more sandwiches for the number of people would of been better other than that the food and service was fantastic. Would highly recommend
Had an amazing family meal here. Food and service was absolutely amazing. The only gripe I would have (and not the pubs fault) would be that in the midst of a very busy night for the staff and an enjoyable night with my family there was a totally unruly family also dining nearby our table that was clearly out to cause trouble moaning to the staff about literally anything and the kids running amok which culminated in them smashing all the cups and saucers in a nearby adjoining closed room before leaving. The staff handled this issue with the upmost dignity and professionalism and are a credit to the establishment. But apart from that episode which I get is few and far between, we will definately be back to sample the rest of the menu
My wife and I are visiting our daughter from down south. We went into the plough and harrow as our regular is also a Marstons so we thought we'd get the same experience. We were wrong. We went to the bar to order a sauvignon blanc, we usually get Visitors however our bar man Adam suggested we try Nikita, we were so glad he suggested it. However, when I was waiting at the bar to order a man came to the bar and demanding Adams attention, something to do with his drink which by the looks of it he had drank from already apparently it was short poured (didn't look it) however Adam dealt with it well. When the man swore at Adam he politely asked him not to swear at any member of staff. I felt bad for the way the man had treated and continued talk about Adam afterwards, it did put a downer on or meal however when bring it up to Adam he did apologies and offer to move us, we could were impressed with how clam he stayed although we knew he could what they were saying yet it didn't seem to faze him. Dee was also exception when. she brought our food out. They both made a fab team. We will definitely be making this our go to pub when we visit our daughter.
Very local feel to the pub, lovely staff, extremely friendly. Had great Sunday dinner, credit to Liz the chef. Will be back again very soon, why wouldn’t you!
Brilliant pub with amazing atmosphere, large TV screens which are great for watching sports, food is amazing - highly recommend booking in for a sunday roast!
