This place is really good. The food is fabulous and it actually tastes like home cooked food. Recommend!! Staff is very friendly but it takes a bit of time for the food to arrive. Definitely worth the wait! The chicken korma is amazing!!
The food in here is delicious! Cooked to order as I’ve ordered different curries on different occasions milder than on the menu and they’ve done this for me no problem. The service in terms of bringing food out is a bit slower but it’s to be expected to be when cooking such delicious food. Our 2 yea
We always eat here when we’re in Mere Green, Ron is such a wonderful host, the food is always cooked fresh and the portions are just right, don’t think about it just please try shimla you won’t be disappointed, the prices are amazing as well, I can’t recommend this place enough for a friendly welcom
We jumped in here after having a a few drinks around the corner. It wasn't very busy, the staff were really friendly. They have a bar selling bottled beers, and made us some Irish coffees aswell. The food was nice and came put fairly fast.

Went on an impromptu date night with Mrs H. The owner was lovely and welcoming. We had a good chat about Mere Green over the 30 years he’s owned the restaurant. The food was top notch too as always - great menu, including some dishes you don’t see in other places.
Nice food and staffs. Is quite traditional deco. The place is a little and did get a bit too hot for this weather.

Food & Service is the best in the area (in my opinion). First time I have been there as usually go to one in Sutton Town. This will now be the only place I go. The staff are so polite and friendly. Friendly welcome, order taken, food not rushed so knew it was fresh. All food perfect, most enjoyable take-away for a long time. Will eat in next time.
Thursday night, ordered a chicken Aloo Gobi Balti, out of this world, best Aloo Gobi ever! Friendly service as usual from Ron legend!

The Shimla has been open for about 26 years and has built up a large loyal customer base over this period which is one of the reasons it has survived through these difficult times since the pandemic started.

On Saturday night we celebrated my brothers birthday at this restaurant. The staff were absolutely lovely, the food was great and all the family had a brilliant night. Thank you so much for making the night so special. Can’t wait to visit again.
This small Indian restaurant on Mere Green Rd is long established. The interior is only small and thus a bit cramped but clean and comfortable. Very comprehensive menu with no starter more than £4 and all main courses under £9. Though rice etc is extra. Three varieties of bottled beers and small win
Been twice. Both times the food, ambiance and staff were excellent. The wine list is small and select, but the food more than makes up for it.
I recommend this restaurant and score it 9.9 out of 10. Probably the best in Mere Green.
Food was exceptional. Amzing Nagis Kebab starter, very recommended if you like scotch eggs. Waiter was so helpful, we went with his recommendations for everything and it was so good.
Service was brilliant. The quality of the food was faultless. We asked for one dish to be cooked differently and they didn't hesitate in changing the ingredients. Absolutely fantastic resturaunt. Very highly recommend.
