I wish I caught the name of our waitress because she was absolutely lovely, she had all the time in the world for us. Not rushed when ordering deserts & drinks. She was funny & welcoming. She made us both smile and we spoke about how great she was. I would say she was between the age of 40-45 but I may be wrong. We had an issue with our discounts on the app but she sorted it out very quickly for us. Truly an asset to your business.
Went for breakfast thismorning . It was really lovely. Cooked really well. Lovely and clean.staff was polite and helpful as my daughter as special needs and for the first time using her bank card and app she never understood what to do with the .app and the 2 staff helped her with the app. and never made her feel out of place .definitely be going ere again.
I Have to say the food was outstanding. Full with choices and Very delicious. We were served by Leanne who gave fantastic service. She was a attentive, polite and helpful. The best Toby Carvery me and my family have been to in a long while. Thank you for the great experience we shall be back and we will be telling others how great the service is there. Our server was ,lovely, very friendly and happy to assist us in whichever way she could. Food was very tasty with a good choice available and it was very hot and well cooked. Our only issue was the gravy pots were almost empty so we didn't get enough and there didn't seem to be anyone around the area to ask. I am sure it would have been refilled if asked. It was a very pleasant experience with good food and I would definitely be returning.
First time visiting the Toby C and staff were very pleasant especially Sam, she was always smiling happy and you can tell she really cares about her customers. I was there for lunch and ended up having three course meal and working a the same time she made the experience very warming, She went above and beyond and was so nice to have that service. They have got a new regular :).
Carvery could been been more presented well ... roast potatoes were mashed, sprouts over cooled & pasta texture was thick. Fizzy drinks were absolutely rubbish from counter also over bar counter, no fizz or flavour to drink got refund for those.
Overall nice to go for a drink & chill out point, atmosphere was pleasant. & so was the staff.
First time I've been to The parson and clerk for ages. The food was the best I've had at a Toby in months. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the beef dripping potatoes and roast parsnips were just gorgeous. Our waitress, Donna, was fabulous. So friendly, fast and went out of her way to make us happy. This had always been my second favourite Toby but I can't see us going elsewhere in future. Just a wonderful experience all round. Thank you. PS: lamb shouldn't be a Sunday treat. Please put it on the everyday menu!
May I just say that today I had the privilege of ‘Donna’ looking after me and my family this afternoon for Sunday lunch! Not only was she pleasant, she was always smiling, chatty and basically a credit to the pub! Definitely coming back again and hopefully ‘Donna’ will be on shift that day also! Fantastic experience/meal! :-)
Carvery is always nice but now they've changed the pudding menu they're not very nice, had sticky toffee pudding and custard, the custard was fine but the sticky toffee pudding was just a cheap hard dry cup cake, disgusting. So no dessert in future 😕
Your staff were lovely. Dinner was really nice, although I the meat slices were so thin you could see through them. Pudding was to small and there was no Eaton Mess. Sadly the fizzy pop was so watered down there was no taste in it.
Popped in for brekkie with son, excellent all round service, great price, lovely potato hash with bacon. Unlimited coffee and soft drink very useful and value for money. Lovely seating options.
I had booked a table for 3 but my husband couldn't come as he was unwell. My Grandson and I had a lovely meal and I ordered a take out for my husband, filled in the form for what I wanted but when I got home there was only gammon and not what I had ordered which was beef and pork my husband was disappointed. It was the first time I had ordered a take out so I was not impressed
Visited here today with some deaf friends, inside looked lovely, clean and spacious. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who we assumed was the manager (but I could be wrong!) who showed us to our table and sent a waitress straight away to take our drink order, the waitress Donna was so nice and surprised our group with a little sign language! The people I was with were over the moon!
She took our order and the drinks came within 2 or 4 minutes, 4 of our group wanted a carvery but one person wanted a cheese salad which isn’t on the menu (there’s always one 🤦🏽♀️ and it’s usually my brother!) Donna went above and beyond and got him his salad so he was happy! She was bubbly, polite and just a lovely woman!
The man serving up the meats was lovely and the food was hot, cooked just right and very tasty!
The puddings ( pancakes, icecream and cheese cake) were lovey and well portioned!
Overall a lovely evening at a lovely pub!
Nothing like going to Tobery Carvy on a Sunday after a nice walk in Sutton park. We were delighted with the service by Justine. But humbled by Tobery’ king sized plates. All in all I highly recommend this Tobery location. Stay humble, there’s always room for crumble.
This is a quite a spacious establishment but could be busy at times. When we walked in for dinner we were advised that it would take a few minutes to seat us as there was a feeding frenzy going on. It was suggested that we might get a drink and sit in the bar for a while. We did that and when the frenzy subsided we were seated at a table.
The food itself was great with a choice of beef, gammon etc with great Yorkshire puddings and the usual accompaniments.
The waitress was very attentive.
The place was clean, comfortable and relaxing.
The bar staff are very attentive and try their best to serve you quickly.
The building itself is quite large and the exterior quite interesting.
We enjoyed our dinner here and returned the next morning for a great British breakfast. The prices are reasonable.

I came for a carvery and a couple of drinks at Toby carvery the other day with a few of my friends, and we had a spectacular time! The food and drinks were great, but what really topped our experience was our service from Maisie! She was attentive, informative and always smiling. She honestly deserves recognition for her hard work. Thankyou to all the hard working staff, especially Maisie! :)
I have to say that Donna's customer service was superb we eat in a number of restaurants regularly and she outshone a number of others. The difference your waitress makes to a customers experience goes such a long way. Thank you we will definitely be returning.
Greeted and led to table and advised of our servers name. Excellent selection of 4 meats, good choice of potatoes and veg. Only downside was the ordinary roast potatoes which were dry and shrivelled.
Service from staff was excellent.
Not happy at getting charged £2. 20 for a small lime and soda ( less than half pint ) when a pint of cider was only £4.25.
