Went for early evening dinner with friends. It's a very small restaurant serving Italian food so would recommend making a reservation to be sure of a place. Good selection of menu choices at a reasonable price. There was also a set price menu of 4 courses for £16.99 which covered a starter, main course, dessert and a coffee. Portion sizes were good and the food was tasty. The wines are Italian and a little pricey but with the set meal, evens out at a good value evening. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will certainly return.
We have been there twice in the last month which is a good sign. On the first occasion the red wine choice was very disappointing with two out if my first three choices unavailable and the third one was corked but on the second visit, all the wines were available and delicious.
The staff are charming, knowledgeable and helpful which is great and the food is served in good time.
It is in a tough market and it is considerably more expensive than the other restaurants around but it is nice to have an upmarket Italian nearby to give choice and competition to the Indians, Chinese and Lis Banditos up the road.
I have been a few times and the food is always brilliant. The service is also great and the place is clean. Unfortunately this time there was a small minus, my cappuccino wasn't hot or wven lukewarm. My friends was the same, so i mentioned it and they were replaced. At the end of our lovely set menu i had another cappuccino and this time it was dangerously hot. I didn't mention it but did burn my tongue a little on it. Im thinking the coffee machine isnt working properly.
Very good menu and excellent value if you have the 3 courses and coffee for £16.95. Very pleasant and attentive waitress. Small,only 10 tables,very quiet tonight(Thursday) but booking essential on weekends
My husband and i popped in last minute and had the 4 course meal for 16.95. The food was superb and the lady who served us (cynthia i think) was fantastic. She went above and beyond. Would highly recommend
First time at La Caverna. Excellent restaurant. Meal was first class with impeccable service. Plenty of choice on either the set 4 course menu or the A La Carte menu. We shall certainly be visiting again. Would highly recommend.
This was our third visit to this friendly restaurant. As before everything was delightful, the staff were attentive,the surroundings were pleasant and the food was superb. All in all, our visit was enjoyable. Definitely a place to return to again and again.

Great restaurant. Went there for Valentine's day and had a fillet steak I asked for medium/rare and it came slightly more rare than expected but still great. Lots of vegetarian options and always order a side as dishes come without any vegetables.
Great food and service. Freshly cooked and great flavours. Very small place, but would 100%recommend. Booking is essential though to get a table.

Amazing food...steaks are the best i have ever had. You do have to wait a while for your food, but it is defo worth the wait. Will be visiting again
