Went this evening as a last minute birthday treat. On arrival, we were seated with consideration. Away from the window as it was very cold outside. Drink order taken straight away and arrived quickly. Order for food taken shortly after.
All food arrived piping hot, great presentation and extremely tasty. Had the mushroom starter and minestrone soup (soup of the day) both lovely. The main course was fantastic. Hubby had seafood risotto and I had the belly pork.
Awarded 5 star as unable to find any fault at all.

Our first visit here. It definitely won't be our last. Excellent food, very friendly and welcoming place. Staff were very attentive full of knowledge about the menu. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. X

This is by far the best restaurant in Birmingham! Boys and us love the food and highly is recommended, food is second to none and the service is outstanding, our family favourite �. We avoided for a couple of years as from the outside we were not sure but 4 visits in the last few months confirms we are well and truly sold!!!!

Romantica is a very lovely Italian restaurant. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is calming and really good for a date night. The food is always great, never had a problem with it. Would 100% recommend if you are a fan of pasta and pizza :)

Food was amazing, portion sizes are big. Cocktails were nice. The staff are so professional and helpful. Along with the lovely atmosphere it was a beautiful experience. Will definitely be going back to try some other dishes.

What a little gem this place is. Went on Saturday 4 June with three others and the service was top notch all evening — really polite, attentive, quick. The layout and atmosphere is also great and the food was faultless and came out in good intervals. You got a hand shake on the way in, and a hand shake on the way out. Such lovely people and overall thoroughly recommended. Impressive customer service. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely restaurant. Well decorated, smart with a nice ambience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Service was spot on. Food was outstanding. One of the best restaurant meals we've had in a long time. 😋 Would not hesitate to recommend 👌. Only one slight complaint, and this has nothing to do with the restaurant. No one seems to make the effort to look smart these days. Perhaps have a dress code. No scruffy jeans. No trainers. No sruffy tee shirts and sweat tops. Just a thought. 😁🫣🤔
Went there as a family of 4. Excellent ambience and service, staff very friendly, and most of all food was very tasty. Although a bit pricey, all the above positives make up for it. I would certainly recommend and will visit again.
Visited Romantica for my wife’s birthday. Staff were very friendly and professional. The food was absolutely fantastic. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, prices are very reasonable too. It’s just shame they don’t take American Express.

It was the first place my partner took me for our first lunch date and i fell in love with the place. Immediately on arrival you are met with warm friendly faces who are Inviting and very attentive. The room has a beautiful ambience which is very relaxing. We have been back several times over the past few years and it still remains my favourite place to eat. I've never had the pleasure of meeting the chef but his food Is cooked to perfection and always of a high standard. As a family we all love it. If you haven't eaten here, your missing out.
I've been here many times over the past few years and I've always found the food ,service and atmosphere hard to beat. My meal on this occasion was up to the usual excellent standard. However , I found that upon ordering the slow cooked pork belly I was told it came with gravy only. I felt this was a little cheeky as this item alone was close to £18. I realised that I needed to order a number of sides ( priced at between £3 and £5 each) to make up a reasonable meal. I'm disappointed that this restaurant has decided that this is the way to increase the price of a meal by offering add ons, and frankly I felt ripped off. Now I realise I could have considered the excellent value lunch menu , but this was a special occasion where I decided on something different. I fully understand that Romantica have to find ways to maximise their income in these hard times but I feel this is a little underhand.
We need more Italians in Birmingham. They have the best taste in the finer things that life has to offer. This extends to food; Romantica Italian Restaurant is an excellent example of Italian cuisine served in a homely, sociable environment, delivered with care and warmth. The dishes are excellent examples of their Mediterranean siblings, served piping hot, full of flavour and brightness. I would recommend the Fritto Misto, delicate deep fried seafood. Delicious.
Everything was perfect. From the greeting staff, to the delicious food, the cleaning. It was the first time we went, but I felt like in Italy.
Have eaten at Romantica a number of times over the years, always excellent food and service can't fault it. Lovely atmosphere too. Recently my mother was taken ill while in the restaurant and the staff were wonderful calling for an ambulance and helping care for my mom while waiting for it to arrive can't thank them enough

Great little Italian restaurant that seems to be locally owned. The menu isn't huge but it is very delicious! Very nice and accommodating staff. Highly recommend for a nice dinner or special occasion. Definitely make reservations! Weeks in advance if you are looking for a weekend table.
Walked in mid week without a reservation and they couldn’t have been more welcoming. Very attentive staff and fantastic food.
Great food and service. Felt welcomed straight away and all the meals came out quickly. It's a shame their newer site in boldmere doesn't live up to the same level of service as it is closer.
