We had 3 cooked breakfasts here today and mine was piping hot and very tasty. Quite busy even though we were pretty early (9.30) but because of the Xmas holidays I suppose... Dog friendly too (separate area at the back). Staff very polite and alert, cleaned up quickly and efficiently. I personally found it quite loud (mainly from the counter where you order) but a large carton had just been delivered which caused a re-shuffle of machines so probably just a one off "criticism". Cakes looked amazing, especially the (multi) millionaires shortbread (see pic) which could easily feed the 5000... Would definitely come here again!
Been here twice now, absolutely sublime Sunday roast,with delicious braised carrots and cabbage, loads of meat and delicious sugar snap peas. I picked the lamb in this case, which came with a mint sauce - sadly not a jus, from a jar - probably Coleman's - the only minor flaw to the dish. Also includes gravy and roasties too of course! The quality of this plate of food is what you'd expect from a high end restaurant, with a lot of thought and effort made into its ingredients. Supreme value for money(under £15 as my memory serves me) , and very, very filling!
First visit here for breakfast. Really impressed with the full English. Everything was really good quality, ie Lashford sausages, lovely toasted bread, and good selection. The staff were really friendly and nice. I think overall one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time.
This was my first time to the farmhouse Bistro. Me and my friend only had hot chocolate and cake.
My friend had the pecan pie ( enough for 2 people ) and I had the blueberry gateau ( again enough for two people ) really nice food, portion size really big. I took my other half for my partner . Would go there again and would recommend the cafe. .. no booking needed.
Took my partner here for a late Mother’s Day afternoon tea. We Absolutely enjoyed it! Sandwiches were delicious, service was outstanding staff were very friendly and the scones/cakes were just really really Devine. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. Will definitely be returning.
Had the farmhouse full English and it was superb. Cooked just right with really good produce. Must compliment the waitresses especially Ellie who made us feel really welcome. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back.
It's lovely here. The food is impressive, great taste & great portion sizes. The service is always amazing.
The menu has everything you want on it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommend whether it's just for a coffee and cake or a full on meal.
It makes going to the Mitchell Centre worth it!

Fabulous place, the food was restaurant quality. I had Irish stew and my husband had the steak pie which came with the most wonderful charred vegetables. Very good portion sizes and although a little expensive, the quality of the food was excellent.

We came for breakfast it was delicious and cake yum yum excellent service, and all the boutique shops were so nice,we are coming back soon its our favourite secret place.
Great place to eat. Tasty homemade food, everything was made extremely well. Atmosphere is very cosy, and space is airy and filled with daylight. I had a club sandwich with chicken, avocado, tomatoes and a cheesecake with berries, it was pretty fabulous.
Rump Cut Steak Baguette with hot slaw cheese sauce and French fries.
Can't really fault it. Very tender meat and presented nicely. Though I noted there's no baguette lol but I prefer it thay way 😊

This a great and comfortable place, if you can find a place to sit; just need to time your visit right. The food is well cooked, tasty and generous. Breakfast is served until 4.00pm for late risers.
Fabulous menu with a comprehensive menu. The food was cooked to a high standard..very fresh and tasty. The restaurant was tidy and quiet when we visited on a Monday morning. A good range of sauces and drinks both hot and cold. The parking was plentiful and there was a great walk past lots of small boutique shops to get to the bistro. The bistro is family friendly. The ice cream stand is huge too
