Gasta At Armadale Castle Bar & Restaurant - The Hebrides - Photo album

We got the place recommended from our B&B. The lunch at Gasta was very nice, good selection of drinks and nice sandwiches, as well as great locally made scones. And we came back for dinner, suddenly the restaurant had a very romantic dinner atmosphere. We started with a nice drink and the bar and t
The castle is mostly ruined and not accessable, but the gardens are incredible and there is a very nice museum tracing the history of the MacDonald Clan in Scotland.
Enjoyed this visit especially as it wasn't planned. We had stopped off for lunch then decided to go in to the garden and museum.
Was closed because of time of year but grounds and park were lovely, grandkids loved it
Lovely choices on the menu, the chicken breast stuffed with haggis is yummy and the blackcurrant and apple crumble equally good. Reasonably priced, well presented and all the staff were very friendly too, what more could you want??
We visited the restaurant Gasta at Armadale Castle on the Isle of Skye through pure serendipity on Monday 25th June whilst waiting for book in time to our Skye B@B in Sleight. A visit to its beautiful gardens and the castle ruins was first, then we had coffee and delicious cake in its restaurant a
Hmm. Bit of a mixed experience. It was busy for a start and the staff were rushed off their feet. The food from the small self service bar didn't look all that appetizing (personal opinion of course) yet we did order the venison lasagne and lemon cake which I quite enjoyed along with the dressing on
Finally a well thought out restraunt that delivers to a high standard on every level. Forget 5* we're talking Service 6*, surroundings 6*, food 6* and atmosphere also 6* . It's a must visit if you're in this part of Skye and you'll be as pleased as I was, post meal. Can't wait to return with friend
Easily my favourite cafe chain on Skye. Open every day @09:30 (en route, you can get your first coffee of the day at their other location @08:30) Beautiful vaulted ceiling, wooden highlights, set amongst a green garden (and a patio ☀️)
We visited here whilst on tour in the region and were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and the simple but very tasty menu and we readily recommend it to you.
Great staff. Small simple menu of tasty filling food. Just what we wanted. Lovely.
Nice space inside and outside. Lovely food and friendly staff. Perhaps just a little pricey.
A very tasty meal, wonderful staff and setting. I can't wait to go again.
Lovely welcoming staff. We enjoyed a hot chocolate after our walk around the castle grounds
Clean and nice coffee. Good car parking and not far from the ferry terminal.
Excellent menu, food delicious and I can’t wait to go back.
Great coffee and donuts, will return to eat staff very helpful and friendly, venue is superb, well worth a visit.
Nice place to stop for a coffee and a scone. Sandwiches and drinks were a little expensive.
