Good mid town pub, serves food, more old style, than some of the other pubs, kinda "old style boozer"... Always a warm welcome!

Caitlin behind the bar was lovely and the drinks where very enjoyable. Not the cheapest drinks in town but great vibe and their food is based on homemade pies which they call the Pieminster Pies. Nice pub great attitude happy to recommend.
Me and my wife come in with our dog every Friday and Sunday with our dog and the bar staff are amazing. We often spend our afternoon with Will behind the bar. All the team are warm and welcoming as well as having fantastic beer.

Amazing place steeped in history
Great food and a great pub in the centre of Thame would definitely recommend it for food drink and hospitality. My mum and me had the chicken leek ham and thyme pies with mash and peas. Absolutely fantastic. The pies were thick with lovely filling and the pastry was just crunchy and very tasty. Elle was amazing. She served us and cooked the lunch. Very friendly and great service. Thank you. Will definitely be back
Recently I spent a very pleasant few hours here with my Mum, where there was a mix of locals and visitors.
Mum is in a wheelchair and the staff were accommodating and made accessibility easy, via a staff entrance.
The manager and team members are lovely - friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. The pub is cosy, comfortable and clean, and the outside area is spacious and well laid out.

I enjoyed a really nice afternoon at this lovely little place, the staff were really friendly and they all knew the menu well as I asked what they’d recommend. The pie was delicious, really flavoursome and nicely presented. My sister had a pizza and said it was really tasty, looked really good too.

Had a great weekend in Thame. Friday night music and dancing followed by the cup final on Sunday. Both visits were relaxed, friendly and I really enjoyed this pub. Had a beautiful cocktail and a tasty pizza which really hit the spot. Will definitely be visiting again!

I visted Thursday 22nd December, to be met with friendly faces behind the bar thats fully stocked with gin, whiskey, brandys and beers a plenty. The selection of lillies still cider is AMAZING and the only place in thame to sell such a cider.
Thursday night consisted of karaoke hosted by Adam, there is such a varied mixture of musical talent its amazing. Would highly recommended a thursday if you fancy a chilled night and a bit of a sing song.

Visited last Tuesday and was really pleased we popped in. Met at the bar by a very helpful lady, (I believe called Lynda) who looked after us well. Enjoyed a lovely pizza and refreshing glass of wine. Will definitely be back soon! Thank you
The Birdcage: absolutely the GOAT of Thame pubs, some of the best vibes you can find in town, amazing staff who go above and beyond with some great weekly events. Karaoke and the quiz are always the best nights here, and Michelle has done a great job of turning it into the place to be in Thame. Don't skip out on The Birdcage.
came in earlier for a quick pint and a bite to eat, after seeing the decorations going up for the 6 nations cant help but want to come back once it starts.

Beautiful pub! Staff are always so friendly! Lovely outside area for soaking up the sunshine! They’ve got plenty going on this week for the jubilee can’t wait to head down there and join in the fun!!
What a lovely little pub in the heart of Thame. We loved the pizzas and the great selection of drinks on offer. Nothing better to sit in the garden and enjoy a bit sun.
This is my 2nd home, I'm often making a nob of myself at the birdy, I love coming down and having a perv at the bar staff (male and female).
