Visited today as an early Mother’s Day celebration and it was lovely! There were 6 adults and 3 children (aged 21 months, 5 and 7) in our party and we had booked in advance to attend. Food was delicious, really nice setting and decor was very warm and inviting. It was very busy but we were very looked after by all the staff. Second visit for some of the family, but first for me. Really yummy food, genuinely the nicest tasting food whilst being out for lunch/dinner in a long time! The chef has a great range of food on the menu, we all had different meals and each single dish was cooked to perfection, very fresh, hot and homemade (even the children’s meals) and all a really generous size! Was very filling. Desserts had a great choice too, really was something for everyone. Chefs here are certainly a major asset to your team! Will definitely be returning and recommending to all! Great pub, great food and staff. Really lovely meal, if you haven’t been before, try it, you won’t be disappointed. Great for a special occasion or for a sociable dinner with family and friends.

First visit since refurbishment and new owners. Last visit with previous owners was very disappointed with service and food. Tonight went with work colleagues and was delighted. New decor looked great, cosy, invited. Staff so friendly and helpful. Food amazing and tasty. Had Christmas menu, Parma ham/ chicken delicious. Main roast turkey meal good size portion, large player that was full, 4thick slices of turkey, 4 roast potatoes, 4 roast parsnips, 2 stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, sausage and bacon, all served with delicious, hot and tasty gravy. So impressed. Apple crumble delicious but was so full from main. To finish off tea/ coffee and mince pies. Such a wonderful meal and will definitely recommend and return soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Fabulous food, staff and ambience. Visited twice in the last couple of weeks and each time it’s been faultless. Tried the new menu yesterday and it’s excellent. Just can’t recommend this newly refurbished pub enough.

Just had a lovely Christmas meal with friends. Food lovely and our waiting staff were first class, especially the owner’s dad, who I think deserves a special mention. My only gripe is that the veg wasn’t very inventive. I Wish more restaurants would include Red cabbage or the like, but at the very least a good cheese sauce with the cauliflower wouldn’t have gone amiss.

Came here for a date night dinner, booked the same evening, the first visit since the pub has been refurbished, the staff are polite, friendly and attentive. Pub is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, I had deep fried brie for starters and mussels for main all cooked well and nicely presented, Mrs Clark had vegetable bake. Generous portions, 2 alcoholic drinks and a tea after dinner came in just under £40, which we thought was reasonable. Good balance of quality food without being too fancy. Will definitely eat here again and nice place for a drink with friends.

What a beautiful place this is , it's decorated so homely every where you looked there was something to see. We visited for a birthday celebration .and there was at least 20 of us some with small children. They have a great outdoor eating area plenty of parking round the back and disabled parking at the front. The prices were fantastic and the food was outstanding. They have a large selection of food and special menus which have vegetarian options. They made adaptions to some of the food for the some of the guest with allergies.. We had a large room for our sitting. The staff did such an amazing job when it came to split g the bill they made it easy to do that. We got to experience it all as it was such a sunny day. Also by the car park at the back there was this beautiful field with horses. Not sure what it's called but such an added bonus to this business as a surrounding area The children were so happy there which is something great if your eating out with children. As I am writing this I am still thinking about the food. 💯 Recommend you visit this place. Thanks for making it a lovely day an a huge thanks to all the staff who worked so hard

Had a delicious steak, cooked to perfection and the chips here are divine!! The peppercorn sauce was also spot on. I actually can't wait to go back and have the exact same meal! So good! I wasn't mad about the mushroom starter, found it to be a little slimey and think the sauce wasn't honouring the mushrooms appropriately. Think there may have been a chicken stock or something that overpowered the mushrooms. Looked great though 👌 The staff were very pleasant & food came out at the right pace. My friend had ham, egg and chips and they'd paired it with an apple chutney which was so unique and worked really well. Loved the bold move there. The venue itself is so nice, it's a shame nobody was making use of the gorgeous and substantial garden. Plenty of outdoor space, loads of tables. The Dover Castle is the type of place you can go for a nice evening meal or likewise enjoy some casual drinks throughout the day. I hope to be enjoying plenty more lunches in this spot. Not to be missed if you are around Teynham 🤩

Dropped in for a late lunch, early dinner, full menu available. Normal pub offerings, served and presented well, tasted good and good portion sizes.

Came here for a family celebration, Jocelyn's Baptism. Staff are excellent and the food is delicious. The selection of sandwiches and other savory treats on the buffet was very good and enjoyed by us all.

The food here is absolutely amazing! They have only just reopened and I was worried that the food would not be as good as it once was... I didn't need to worry.. if anything it's got better!! Great atmosphere

We just had lunch for my partner's birthday... variety of dishes between two adults and three children, all of which were very nice. The vietnamese wings and wild boar pasta being highlights. Would happily come again for this at the prices they charge. Service was good too and seating arrangement quite spacious.

A lovely cozy place. Staff are really friendly and inviting. She made made sure she was aware we was waiting while pulling pints. The pub itself is well looked after with facilities very clean and tidy. Nice ambiance within. There is a climbing frame for the little ones with a well manicured beer garden
