My family of 12 aged between 4-89 visited on Boxing Day for a meal.we were well looked after and the food was fab.will def recommend and be visiting again.thank-you
Massive pub, visited on way back to Bristol.
Had to wait an hour for food but was worth the wait. Would visit again if back up that way.

Had a lovely lunchtime meal today. Food was spot on and serving staff very attentive. We hadn't been for a year or so after hearing some bad reviews, but decided to give them a go again today, we were very pleased we did.
I just want to say we are local to the pub and I don't comment on anything but this Christmas we had my youngest doing the santa breakfast which he loved and was definitely worth it and then my family including my parents two children went for new year eve and couldn't have asked for a better night food music atmosphere it was a perfect end to 2017 thank u so much April and paul for everything xxxx
Very good value! Lots of food for little money! Staff are really polite and quick. Good children's area to with TV in booths and a children's room to play in. Will definitely be returning.
Lovely family pub with plenty of space, adults food was lovely, we had the chicken selection and burger crown, shared both. Beautiful!
One of our kids had the Nacho cheese pasta, was cold. Yes I know you can eat cold pasta but not cold peas!

Had the Korean BBQ chicken burger which was very nice, gammon steak were also nice. Chicken and bacon wrap wasn't the best used sliced cheese in wrap, grated cheese would of been better.
Service was friendly and help, people behind bar also friendly and helpful.
I used to have a slightly negative outlook on this pub but I must say it's drastically improved in recent months, mostly from new owners. Staff are lovely, food is good for the price and it generally comes out quickly, which are huge improvements from previous visits to this pub. New menu is great as well, but I do miss the old glasses the Candymania came in but that's not a real critique of the pub.
We have always used The Wheatpieces over the last few years, for personal use as a couple plus more recently as a monthly venue for a works meal out. Food was always great, cheap, cheerful and tasty... suitable for all budgets... HOWEVER we have visited twice in the last two weeks and decided to try steaks and mixed grills ... OMG!!! The food has gone up about a million notches it is phenomenal 😍. Wednesday is grill night, so a 12oz steak and trimmings and a full monty mix grill are only a tenner each!! Best steak I've eaten in the UK .. and I love steak!!
This pub has gone from strength to strength recently. I have eaten there several times in the last few weeks and it’s been spot on. I can definitely recommend the gammon and the service has been outstanding!!

Great atmosphere in the pub now new owners have taken over. Friendly staff and amazing service. Good place to visit, whether that's restaurant with the family or to watch the football in the bar.
1st time here yesterday, I felt bad for the staff as there was only 3 there and were running around everywhere. It was a bit of a wait for drinks but understandable as it was packed. Great value for money and the food was nice! I'll defo come back
