Absolute gem!!! Such amazing food the soup of the day was to die for. Very friendly people there. A little taste of home in Tewkesbury. I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming again.

Was looking for somewhere to eat on a Mothers Day that wouldn’t be rammed in Tewkesbury. Found this little gem of a cafe/coffee house The Hide. A South African run place. This Bobotie was the best I have tasted and so was the mocha. The service was fabulous and the cafe was tastefully decorated with African memorabilia. While I didn’t partake this time, the cakes looked incredible. Highly recommend for a taste of something different.

The food has always been great. I loved this falafel sandwich and oh my gosh the hummingbird cake is to die for!! I’ve never gotten a photo of the hummingbird cake because it’s been demolished the minute it is placed in front of me!!

Outstanding! Came here with a friend for a day out and we wanted good coffee and cake. We ended up staying for lunch and everything was perfect. The service was amazing, all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The coffee has to be the BEST latte I’ve ever had. I had the smoked salmon sandwich for lunch with a scone for dessert. Everything was delicious, well priced and the ambience is lovely. We will definitely be back next time we visit! Thank you.

It's a gem in North Cotswold. We are really pleased that we found this cafe on our last day in Tewkesbury. The staff were really nice to accommodate our group of nine in their cozy cafe. The food is excellent, the cake is lovely. The owners were very friendly and cheerful.

It seems that only the best tea shops bake fresh cakes every day! The Hide is my favorite place for both the cake, and the South African savory food that is so well made. If in Tewkesbury, you can't skip a visit to the Hide!

Sunday afternoon walk ending at The Hide for a first visit. Excellent selection of cakes (Hummingbird cake, very nice). Very good coffee, and Marimba hot chocolate (the best there is). Will definitely come again, look forward to trying the tempting food options advertised.

Lovely little find! The food tasted great (and so did the coffee). The menu is small but covers a range of food. The staff were so so helpful in accommodating my baby's allergies, and we are very thankful for that. We will 100% be visiting again when we are nearby

This is a lovely little gem of a coffee shop with exceptional food.! Situated near the cross in Tewkesbury, it provides a lovely little stop of while taking in the town.. It is a traditional South African coffee shop and severs a fantastic traditional South African breakfast, consisting of, scrambled egg on toast, mushrooms, grilled tomato and a Cumberland style sausage. The 'flat white' coffee is something else.! It'll keep you awake for a fortnight. The food menu changes frequently, based on seasonal availability of produce. I highly recommend a visit. The two lovely, South African ladies running the show, were really friendly and welcoming!
