Had a vegan meal here. Three good vegan main options and one vegan starter and a pudding, so not too bad in terms of choice.
The dishes all appeared to be home made and the pub had a nice atmosphere. Seemed to be full of locals on a Thursday night, which tells you a lot.
The restaurant in the bar is also dog-friendly so this was a winning venue for us!
We popped in for a relaxing Sunday afternoon pint. This pub has so much character and charm, they have a good selection of ale, beers and lagers. There is plenty of outside seating and some much needed shelter for our rainy summer. This pub is highly recommend locally for its food and regular events 👌
We had a delicious Sunday roast and then enjoyed a drink outside in the sunshine. We also did a short circular walk around the river to walk off some of the roast (saw some sassy llamas). A bonus is that there is parking within a 2 min walk away from the pub so if you're meeting someone who's a bit older, it's easy for them to get to it from the car.
We visited this lovely pub today with 4 friends. We all had a beautiful Sunday roast dinner. We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff. We had a very spacious table upstairs in the dining area. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The courtyard was very pretty. They had a good selection of drinks. I can recommend visiting this pub.
We had Sunday lunch here, good quality, plenty to eat and good range of veg. Limited menu, but fine for a Sunday lunch. Wines very pleasant.

Nice enough as a pub, there was a sense of feeling a bit like a non-local, which to be fair is true, but I think the ability to make any patron feel like they are the most important person in the moment of being served is what elevates a pub with good service to one with outstanding service. However, I can only imagine how long the bar staff had to work on a sunny Sunday, and so in those circumstances, they did well. We'll try the food next time.
The toilets are clean and well kept with a charming quirky feel (see picture of loo roll holder - I know, I am pretty sad), although I forgot to tell the bar staff the hand drier wasn't working in the gents.
Overall, it's a pretty good Cotswold pub 👌
We stopped off here this afternoon for refreshments. They were kind n helpful with a pleasant attitude. A very nice guy behind the bar. The pub was clean n tidy with a good selection of beers.
Ate a delicious, hearty meal with ample choice (I’m vegan) and the staff were all so lovely and considerate. Didn’t have our dogs with us on this occasion but it was great to see dogs welcomed with water and treats readily available. Would definitely come again
We had a delicious Sunday lunch here - the veggie option was very good and the cauliflower cheese was really nice too! Reasonably priced and good parking at the pub.
I attended their annual festival, oakstock, and it was absolutely brilliant. Great acts, in a great venue. The food was excellent and the staff, although really busy, were all amazing 👏 .
What a fantastic pub, my boyfriend recommended it which I have to be honest made me slightly dubious. I went with a friend of mine to have a good catch up, neither of us had been before and we both really enjoyed it. The pub had such a great atmosphere, the decor was lovely, toilets very clean with luxurious hand soap and hand lotion and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We only went for drinks (good selection of drinks) so I can't comment on the guest rooms or the food but the food we saw going out to other tables looked great and those eating seemed very happy. It was lovely to see several very well behaved dogs in the pub, no barking at all so we were able to have a good chat which was exactly what we wanted. I'm looking forward to returning.
First visit for a drink and got a very friendly greeting. Very clean and will have lunch next time as menu looked good
