We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here 30/07/2023. Lamb rump was perfect as was the pink roast beef. Lovely veg and Yorkshires, portions were just right; very attentive friendly staff and a lovely owner too. We'll be back soon
Only had lunch here, which was very good. Scallops to start were great, then calves liver with a very tasty gravy. Partner had potted shrimps and then cheese souffle ( could have done with more cheese) over all it was very good. Only open evenings Friday and Saturday.
Met the owners and Chef. Lovely people. Chef has such a passion for local seasonal food. So nice they are not a chain and can purchase what's available from local producers to turn out some amazing dishes 🥰
How it should be!
Fantastic!! Stopped for a Sunday lunch while driving. The roasts were amazing and the crispy squid was the best I’ve ever had. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere, great good and a lovely location. Will be coming again if we are in the area.
We stopped in for Sunday Lunch whilst in the area visiting Highgrove Gardens. The best Sunday roast we've had this year! Not wildly expensive but proper good food with a welcoming atmosphere, would 100% go back and recommend
OMG - took my wife here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the food and service was amazing. If you want to be sure of a great pub lunch or dinner in the Cirencester / Tetbury area, which can be a bit hit and miss these days, then look no further than the Troublehouse, it’s the best I have been to in many years. I had Scallops as a starter and fillet steak as a main, both cooked to perfection. The fact that the pub restaurant was busy on a Tuesday lunch says it all. Thank you Troublehouse for a great Wedding Anniversary lunch and the special treat at the end. David and Raphaelle Watts
Beautiful set in country side and well presented restaurant with a beautiful garden.
Meals are delicious bit pricy but absolutely worth the price as it all comes out served very nicely and taste great.
Faultless.... we have just stayed at The Trouble House and it was Faultless... the 'Guest room' was private and immaculate, lovely bathroom and great towels! The greeting and breakfast in the morning was as equally lovely.... Great menu choice, beautifully cooked and nothing was too much trouble. We cannot recommend the Trouble House enough, whether you're local or looking for somewhere to stay while visiting the area.
We stopped for dinner on a Saturday night without a reservation. Although they were fully booked, we were early enough that they seated us. The staff are very friendly and gave us a history of the building. The dining area was small but charming, with a very welcome woodburner. Our meal was excellent but the real star of the show was the homemade blackberry apple crumble. We shared it but should've had two! Lovely place and people, wish we lived close by so we could go more often!
Came in for early sitting Sunday lunch. Staff super friendly, service was quick and food was excellent. What a joy having al dente veg. Good beer too. Thank you😊
