26th May Came along with 4 other ladies from a dining club we belong to. It was their first visit & they were impressed with everything. We all had a lovely evening, thoroughly enjoyed our food, as ever the staff & owner were friendly & chatty. 2nd March Popped over for lunch with some friends today. We all decided on the steak pie & we weren't disappointed. Once again exceptional food. It was my friends first visit & they absolutely loved it! We had a lovely chat with the owner. Hadn't realised it was so popular! Got there 20 minutes after they'd opened & it was pretty packed & numerous tables reserved. They kindly squeezed me in, others arriving were being turned away. The meal was amazing, very tasty. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Will certainly be back!

Friday and Saturday are home made Pizza late afternoon / evenings and very good they are too. Three of us, myself, my wife and adult daughter found 2 between 3 was enough with slaw and salad. Meat feast and goats cheese with caramelised onion were our choices and at £20 for 2 were great value as well as great tasting. Will definitely be going back for more.

Took father-in-law and his daughters here for a surprise Sunday roast for a birthday treat. As an old resident of the village many years ago, it was so nice for him to return. It certainly brought back so many happy memories. We all enjoyed the various roasts available that day. Service was excellent and the real fires were very welcome on a cold day! Thanks to all staff who made another good memory. Cheers.

A really lovely village pub, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff and dog friendly. We stopped in for a beer after a dog walk then booked for Sunday lunch for the next day. Nine of us and we all enjoyed a starter, had a fabulous roast and squeezed in a pudding, we all enjoyed our food….I’m usually disappointed with pudding selections so was very excited to see my childhood favourite on the menu…banana split and it was the best banana split ever! Thank you, we had a lovely afternoon!!

Recent find for me but have popped back 3 times for a quick drink in the beer garden. Lovely place, great service and good options for AF versions of drinks

Absolutely lovely place, a little noisy for lunchtime today, as a large table was very rambunctious, but the service was absolutely perfect with the food being very good.

Went here for a family roast and everyone enjoyed it. Great service too! This pub is also a stop on a 5/10k loop walk where you can stop and grab food/drink. Maps are available inside the pub.

Nice pub, ok food. Friendly service but some mix-ups; great decor, but a lot of the starters probably came out of a packet.

This is is lovely pub in a very pretty village location . We have been there several times whilst out on bike rides and have been struck by the welcoming friendliness of the staff . The menu is great . I had a salad which was one of the best pub salads that I’ve ever had . There is a wide selection of dishes , with a suitable variety of options in all categories . The pub is clean and so are the bathrooms . The staff are efficient and polite. This pub deserves to be successful as it really does offer value and enjoyment.. Thanks for a lovely lunch; we will be back!

Treated to a Father's Day lunch here with my family and it was superb. The staff, the food....both excellent. We have been in search of a really good Sunday pub roast and we have now found it thankfully. The beef and lamb both had great flavour. We will be back soon for their Saturday Pizza night.
