We came here for a Sunday roast with the roast pork belly, which did not disappoint me. It was moist and delicious. Two floors of dining with a private area for private events.
I only popped in for a drink and to watch The Lionesses.
It was empty and I sat upstairs on my own in a beautiful room where they were showing the football.
A member of staff came to watch as well and was more than happy to keep nipping downstairs to get me more wine!
Booked quite last minute for our anniversary and they were able to accommodate us. The food was superb and the service was great too
Nice place with a good menu including beef from the restaurant's own local farm. My steak was very nice! We also enjoyed cocktails and delicious desserts. The stylish lounge bar upstairs was the perfect was to finish off the evening.
Lovely meal this evening at the Hoof and hook! Great service, lovely food! Cocktails were very good! Have to park on the High Street as no parking at the restaurant.. quite pricey, but was a lovely treat!
Had a lovely 2 course lunch. £15 per head. Really lovely meal, all produce either from their own farm or locally sourced. Great selection of food and good service. Flat iron steak amazing.
Went in for lunch today and had a really tasty meal. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant has been decorated really nicely, great atmosphere. The variety on the menu is good and they have some nice ales on from local distilleries including Tenterden's own Old Dairy.

Sunday lunch I was there with my boyfriend and another couple, the place looked great, the old and the modern combine together is just amazing.
We had 2 bottles of wine and we decided to try their special, a grilled red gurnard and a steak tartare with blue cheese on top (I really hope it will be soon something on the menu because you all deserve it to have it) and we decided to try one more starter.
As a main we had 2 short ribs, beautifully cooked, falling of the bone and delicious, my friend had salmon and my other friend had the Turkish inspired aubergine. Not only the food was to die for, but the all combination of beautiful bright colours was a pleasure also for the eyes.
For dessert? Well we had to try all 3 and we couldn’t choose the best out of all of them!
Is a very nice chilled place, with any single staff member smiley, knowledgeable and attentive to the detail.
A place to go and come back because this day is very difficult to feel at home in a restaurant and this is the place to go for any occasion.

Lovely lunch time meal with friends. Lovely food,at very reasonable price,service & atmosphere. Not our 1st lunch here & definitely not our last.
Very nice restaurant, food is always tasty, staff are really friendly and it has a nice vibe. Kid friendly - Children's menu with crayons and activity sheet for kids whilst waiting for food. Decor is absolutely gorgeous, we like sitting at a booth, really comfy and a pleasure to dine there.
This is a lovely restaurant. Nicely done out inside, fresh clean and modern. Very good service. Good menu. The best bit is that all of the food and beer are locally sourced, so supporting the local community. The food was very good. I would definitely choose this restaurant first when coming back to Tenterden.
After driving past multiple times we finally decided to give Hoof and Hook a try. Sunday roast was our go to with a few cocktails. Neither of us were disappointed in any aspect of the venue. Quality tasting food/cocktails with great service and relaxed vibes for all types of people.

Lovely restaurant. Purposefully targeted booking here after visiting Hoof in Rye. Certainly a place we will visit again for dinner even if it is an hours drive for us. Worth it
The potato and rosemary bread with whipped smoked butter is a revelation, the ribs were sublime, and the staff were superb. They even knocked up a special treat on learning it was our anniversary, we just asked a member of staff for a photo of us. We were not expecting the lovely gesture! We are going back for more!
They managed to fit us in at very short notice. I'm a man,what do you expect!
Not only was the food extremely good but you had a plate full.
Staff were excellent, being very attentive but not overbearing.
Special thanks to Tom in the kitchen for the surprise at the end of the meal which certainly topped off a superb evening.

Had an excellent meal here with my family. The food was outstanding and they were really accommodating to our two small children, one of whom has an allergy. Very attentive service and super friendly. We loved it.
Everything about this restaurant was lovely. The food was delicious, and the wait proved it was freshly cooked and not something that was re-heated. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. They were so nice and patient with my toddler who wanted to walk around and explore all the nooks and crannies. Would definitely go here again
Booked on the off chance, I was very pleasantly surprised, the food was very good, we were a party of five, all pretty much-having something different off the menu. I had the baked Camembert followed by
a Rib- eye. All cooked very well in fact the Camembert exceeded expectations. So you may ask why score four stars and not five. Well the truth is I could have scored five stars but If I did what do I score next time if, by some miracle it's better.
Very good and will definitely be back.
