Booked in for Thai night dinner and was definitely not disappointed! Chef went above and beyond to accommodate dietary requirements. We had a lovely stay and would stay again.
One of my favorite places to eat and have a drink. (I haven't rented a room there yet). Very friendly people and good cider on tap.

Clean, comfortable. John the landlord Was so helpful and accommodating- gave us a lift to pick up our car in the morning. The pub staff too were friendly and the Thai food was excellent. Definitely recommend if you need a place to stay in Tenterden.

We came across this pub when one of the other high street pubs weren't that welcoming. The landlord was polite, friendly and welcoming. This place is also dog friendly which is a bonus. The food was excellent and good value. We look forward to coming again when we next come over on K&ES railway.
We've been here for our last two Christmas social meals and both times its been great. Due to the size of our group, we have the whole dining area and this is perfect for us. We're not overly loud but not having to worry about disrupting others is a definite plus. Staff are nice and are always helpful.
The food is brilliant and there was not a single complaint from any of us (party of about 26). It was served fast, tasty and hot.
We only started coming here after another restaurant in Tenterden messed up successive Christmas meals. Hopefully we come back here again!

Ideally situated for visiting the antique shops being at the west end of Tenterton high street. The traffic noise was much less than we anticipated and we slept well, comfy bed and pillows. Our room was compact but had everything required, en suite the same. We had dinner in the bar, my burger was excellent.
Staff were friendly & helpful. Publican and his wife went above and beyond expected when we had some problems. The stairs to our room were narrow and steep bear this in mind.
A delightful old pub which served good food. The staff were really friendly and made you feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.
Stayed overnight, room was lovely, we arrived late and the landlord was very welcoming and so helpful. Lovely breakfast, comfortable room. Very pleased, would happily stay again.

Fantastic friendly staff, nothings ever too much trouble for them. Amazing new Thai menu Thurs Fri and Sat nights takeout also available. I shall certainly visit again.
Very nice, very old pub. Great beers and food. Stayed overnight. Comfortable bed and reasonable size room with an excellent en suite shower.
Good selection of real ales and lagers although tied to Shepherd Name. Three rooms to stay in. Garden at rear. Quiz night. Good Sunday lunch. Small car park to front for short cars.
