Very nice food. Great hospitality for the 7 seven of us. Even offered a free round of drinks for the small delay in food, which we didn’t even complain about!
Sunday was dinner was delicious, plenty of veg (roasties, mash swede, cauliflower, cabbage, leeks in a creamy cheese sauce, carrots and peas), would have preferred more gravy but that's a preference I know. There is lots of meat on the plate too, which everyone enjoyed (choice of pork, beef or chicken) as well as stuffing and a yorkie. We were a table of 6 and put on a table by the door where the staff went in and out of the kitchen so it was traffic heavy by us. Dogs are allowed in there, which is great, but was frustrated to see a woman towel dry her dog next to people who were eating....Where's the sense🙈. Desserts were lovely too. I would definitely go again for dinner as it was so tasty, and I absolutely loved the leeks in the sauce. The main meals menu also looked very tempting for another day.
For tall people, you'll have to watch your head in some of the doorways, but it is part of the charm.
Fabulous food, fabulous people and a quirky cycle shop at the side.... Great find, passed many times and not stopped for food wish we had visited earlier as our holiday is drawing to a close. Well worth a visit...
Greeted as we went in by friendly staff ,showed us to table (only bad point as table was half an arm from people standing at bar bums almost on our table ) but food was fabulous and the staff was very good which I will admit I was dubious as they were very young as in kids really but I’ll hold up my hands and admit I was wrong ,the food and all the staff was fantastic will return more often to this establishment thankyou for making it a nice day for Sunday lunch 7 veg and yorkies
Just had another terrific Sunday lunch. Staff always pleasant and friendly. Excellent value for money.
