Excellent food, excellent staff, extra excellent views!!! Couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our anniversary. Sat on the balcony and ate too much food, had good chats with the staff. Definitely recommend.

Fair play...this was by far the best sit down curry I have ever had. I'm from Newport and I regularly have indians. 8 or so years now I have been coming to Tenby but I've never tried a curry from there for some reason or another. I have recently tried my first one though at The Bay Of Bengal with my girlfriend and it was absolutely SPOT ON! The service was excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming. The place was clean and well organised. The time waiting for our starters and mains to come were no longer than a couple of minutes and most importantly the food itself was to die for. Never have I had such a beautifully tasting curry. I highly recommend everyone to try out The Bay Of Bengal...you will not be disappointed. I will definitely go back everytime I am in Tenby now. I read mixed reviews before coming out tonight- most I read were negative. We came out anyway and were amazed with how flavoursome our meals were. We had the vegetable Kurma with a side dish of chickpea and paneer with a garlic naan. It was delicious and very filling for 2 people.
The Kurma was creamy with a beautiful coconut flavour that wasn’t overpowering, the perfect balance!
10/10 would eat here again. ��
Fabulous meal last night. We didn’t book in advance but we were accommodated when we walked in off the street with a lovely table overlooking the beautiful tenby beach � food was outstanding, good quality, very tasty and and great service. Will definatly be going back. Not only comes highly recommended by the adults but my 8 year old son thinks “its the best Indian Restuarant ever” thank you and see you again very soon ��

My husband and I have been here for several years. We would'nt go anywhere else . The food is outstanding and we always get greeted by superb staff. They make us feel welcome . We will be back in few weeks. We drive from Abercynon to eat at this restaurant.

Food and service very good. I had the chicken Goan special, and it was delicious. Hubby said it was the best biryani he'd had. Can't wait to return!

We very much enjoyed the food! We went there on a busy evening without reservation (which I highly recommend!) but we got squeezed in between existing reservations.
Some reports here say it is not enough food but we very much enjoyed that we did not get a massiv ton of stuff like in some other places. It was still plenty!
I previously visited 4 years ago and gave The Bay Of Bengal another visit.
The service was perfect, every staff member was polite and very welcoming to our visit, some reviews mentioned they were rude but I didn't see that at all with myself or observing others dining.
The portion size is on the smaller side but it's perfect if you want to have a variety of food, it allowed me to have chips (which had a perfect crunch) and a curry while sharing a naan.
I dined outside and the view was fantastic, it did take a small while to get the bill but that's understandable for a busy venue and it gave me more time to enjoy the view.
I'll be coming back, the Kurma was delicious :)
Arrived without a previous booking but was welcomed and seated without any trouble. A lovely friendly atmosphere.
Staff were attentive but not overly so…order was taken promptly and food delivered to our table in good time.
Our food was delicious….tandoori mixed grill and chicken jalfrezi plus extras.
Will definitely be making another visit and would recommend….thank you to the staff for making our first visit a pleasant experience.

The Bay of Bengal was a lovely Indian Takeaway that does some of the best Indian food I have had in a long time, definitely the best in Tenby. They have an amazing view over the harbour and out to sea (you have to pay a small charge for the balcony of £5 but on a beautiful day totally worth it). They do Takeaway so no worries if you want to grab and go. All round good Indian restaurant/takeaway with some lovely friendly staff. Big thumbs up from me 👍
A great meal, but at a price, not the most inexpensive feast in our recent trip to Tenby. The staff are great, the owner is a little dour. The decor and the ability to have sea view both from inside and on the outside balcony are fantastic. Be prepared CASH only and take your own alcohol, no corkage charge. Recommend booking.
Absolutely delicious food with charming service in a very beautiful setting. The balcony over looks Tenby beach. Family run business for 27 years. I can’t recommend it enough - I would come back to Tenby just for this restaurant! They deserve every success
Visited Tenby/Wales from Birmingham last week. (The home of proper curries!) Usually cautious to eating curry outside of Brum but this place is spot on. Absolutely brilliant. Read some reviews about the owner being rude and they are correct. From how we were greeted and sat down in the first instance.. In fact I would go as far as to say that if I wasn’t really craving for a curry and not wanting to be turned around, he was extremely close to receiving a reaction from me to tone himself down. Although.. he did rectify this as time went on and later was actually quite pleasant chap. Told us the chef was from Birmingham hence the high standard. I think maybe he just struggles under pressure and busy times as the place is packed at all times. I won’t score the place down for this though as it’s spot on for its purpose, it wouldn’t be fair. Just maybe work on your service manners a little bit mate. Take a breath, smile, ensure people can order what they need to without running off. Cheers
Tasty food and good service, a lot better than the local Indians we've had in London and not as pricey. A member of staff even ran after my husband after he forgot the rice. A big thank you for giving us a halal option our kids were missing their rice and curry.
After looking around the rest of Tenby for somewhere to eat we finally came across this restaurant and they accommodated us promptly for a large table last minute on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy however they still managed to fit us in and make us feel welcome. The food was amazing and the view of the beach was excellent! Can’t fault the service and definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for somewhere to eat in Tenby with a lovely view and fab food!
I've spent a lot of time in India and I was surprised how good the food in this restaurant was, super tasty and clean. Good location and great views. The added bonus was BYO alcohol! Service was good, would highly recommend.
Second to time coming here, would be a hell of a lot more if I were local. Food still as good as it was 3 years ago. Staff friendly and the chef really does know how to cook amazing food.
The views on a good day just compliment the place.
Travelled a fair bit around the UK and this is still my favourite Indian restaurant by a mile.

Absolutely loved this place , food was amazing, waiter was really attentive, The restaurant was really clean and modern and the views are stunning to top it all off you get to bring your own alcohol . Happy days 😁🍷
So glad that 2 other places we'd walked past were closed (Tue 1st Dec) as we really enjoyed our food and were warmly greeted by Rhys. Missus said it was the best Biryani she'd ever had, my Special Tandoori Bhuna was amazing too. Well done chef & Rhys 👌👌👌
