Wish I lived near here! A fabulously friendly welcome, great beer, good wine and amazing food. One of our party is a chef and was very impressed. The 'made on the premises' hummus was the best any of us had ever tasted. I will be up from Surrey to visit my mother more often from now on!

Just had a fantastic meal. Difficult to choose from the menu because all the choices were amazing. Great vegetarian choices. Definitely coming back because we couldn’t manage a pudding! Quantity and quality 5 star. Staff attentive and helpful. Thanks 👍👍

Lovely local quiet pub with excellent quality food cooked to perfection and just the right portions served. Very friendly staff and good range if alcoholic beverages to choose from. Will definitely visit again.

Don't let the really moody exterior put you off (hopefully they paint it soon!), this is a really nice cosy, proper local countryside pub. When we went it was quiet, but I got the impression it can get busier. The landlady was very sweet and friendly. Some chatty locals at the bar who were happy to give us some tips for the next day's activities. Cosy interior. But the best bit: the food. Really outstanding. Generous portions, well present, delicious. Good vegetarian selection too. Glad we chose this spot for dinner!

A genuine delight eating here. Went for lunch and had the brisket with chorizo, beans and potatoes and it was a joy to eat. The rest of my family had the flat-iron steak, which was one of the most lean and tender pieces of meat I've tried, and the fish and chips, which for less than a tenner was remarkable. Service was delightful, as well, and the chef was down-to-earth and seemed to love the food he had created. Will definitely be going again, as I've heard the sunday lunch is a must-eat!

Stopped off after work for a cool Guinness and stopped for dinner. We both had fish and chips. Beautiful piece of fish, chips with the skins on making them super tasty, peas and tartare sauce. Simple dinner- super result! Thank you Andy

Lovely place, little nooks and crannys to hide away in. The Landlord is so accomodating and friendly. There is a little outside area as well with a cherry tree in the summer. Not eaten there yet, but we plan to. Really worth a visit.
