Had Sunday roasts here a party of ten adults we arrived early but the staff weren’t put out. We were made to feel very welcome the staff were very accommodating nothing too much trouble. Food arrived piping hot with plenty of vegetables and gravy no complaints at all. Will definitely return when in the area again. Well done to all the staff please please keep up the excellent service.

My favourite pub it Teignmouth, a great location on the back beach, with outside benches to look across to Shaldon, a wide selection of ales on the bar.

5 star dining experience on Tapas Monday the food was excellent and definitely will book again. Excellent food the fixed price was very well received. It was a really pleasant atmosphere and everyone at the tables openly shared our culinary trip to the Spanish coast 🇪🇸

A Great Local Pub with Character We were delighted to see a lovely pub on the seafront with an untouched character of history entwined in its foundation. The interior is a mixed bag of seating arrangements to suit anyone with a wood fire stove which adds to the ambience. The bar is well stocked with beers, ales and ciders and they have a well stocked thatchers range including blood orange, cloudy lemon, berry, haze and the traditional gold. The menu offers a good selection of foods including sandwiches, jacket spuds, and the traditional fare. We just had a couple of sandwiches and were surprised at the amount of fries you got, like a mountain on the plate which is great for sharing. Overall the food was good with an unforgettable garlic sauce, pretty strong but yum. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Recommendations Greatly recommended to enjoy a historic pub, good food and drinks. Great prices and better than like for like in area. I would suggest a minor paintjob, ceiling clean and an upgrade on the toilets to bring the pub rating up from 4/5. But great work with a lovely ambience. #garystribe #localguide #localguides #letsguide #foodblogger #travelblogger #devon #pubs #shipinn

Excellent efforts made by all of the bar staff during our visit on Saturday last. The shanty festival had them working flat out and they coped. All helpful and polite, tables kept clear of spent glasses, no long waits at the bar for service. Top job, top teamwork, many thanks.

Cracking pub in Teignmouth. Great choice of Ciders and Ales as well as lagers. Serves food. Has some good outdoor seating with a good view. Popular on a hot day and regularly has live bands playing. Well worth a visit if you like a good drink and a lively atmosphere with good food. Take your pick... Will always pop in when down Teignmouth way and recommend you do too.

I'll steal the word "Cracking" from a previous reviewer. A cracking pub in every way. One of those where you feel good the moment you step inside. Staff very welcoming, friendly and they certainly don't treat you like the tourists that we were. Ordered the 12 oz steak. Cooked to perfection, one medium and one rare, and the chef let it rest. You don't often get that these days. Nice salad and chips to die for. All very delicious and very relaxed atmosphere. No wonder we saw a lot of smiling people.
