We had a lovely tapas meal here for my fathers birthday. The service was gently paced giving us time to appreciate the ambiance and decor over our free bread and olives and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the goats cheese and fig parcels!
We are regular visitors to Teignmouth, but this is the first time we have called into Finley Browns for lunch. It wasn’t busy and we had a lovely table by the window. I ordered tomato and red pepper soup, whilst my husband had a tuna and sourdough sandwich. My soup was absolutely delicious with a warm baguette on the side. My husband was delighted with his sandwich which was very generous, and accompanied by a side salad and some crisps. I would’ve liked to try the cakes, which looked delicious, but I couldn’t manage anything else. The staff were lovely, the café is comfortable and a little quirky, and all the other customers seemed to be enjoying themselves and their food. We will definitely return.
A Lucky Find!
We were out for a walk with our dog and fancied a late breakfast/brunch. We looked at a couple of places but they weren’t dog friendly. We stumbled across Finley Browns and grabbed the last table (they were full otherwise…always a good sign!)
The lady explained there was a 30 min wait as it was so busy and everything is cooked fresh. We ordered some milkshakes to drink whilst we waited for our order. They were huge….and delicious! We also ordered a Puppacino for our dog which she loved. The staff were very attentive and helpful. (Giving the dog treats too!) When the food arrived it was worth the wait! My husband and son had the Mega breakfast (see pic) and it was huge! I had the smashed avocado and egg on sourdough, it tasted delicious and was a good size portion. So glad we found this place…would highly recommend and we’ll definitely visit again!
